Spring has sprung and so has my desire for a good bock. Anything good out there? My go-to was Narragansett's spring bock, but that, sadly, is no more.

Gansett Bock was a great loss. Cream Ale as well.

I am at a loss for local staight Bocks. Genesee makes one that I have been meaning to try, but have not spotted it.

On the Maibock/Helles front Jacks Abby makes a good one. Then just had Offshore Ale Co's and it was very good. Brewery only.

You can probably still find bottles of Berkshire Maibock around.

Jacks Abby Saxonator Dopple Bock. Way awesome, was out about a month ago, may still see some on the shelves.

Not from NE (but available in NE) but New York is pretty close :-). Shmaltz's BBA Bock Bock is pretty fantastic. I don't know why more brewers don't barrel age bocks. Seems like a perfect style for barrel aging (I'd love to see one aged in rum barrels).

I totally added a Helles Bock to our schedule because I can't get Gansett Bock.

I don't know when Smuttynose S'muttonator comes out, but I have always enjoyed it.

Jack's Abby has a variety of bocks, all highly tasty.

On tap at the brewery on Sat. No bottles though otherwise I would have bought a couple. One of the better of the 18 NH and ME beers I tried on Saturday.

As others have said, Jack's Abby makes 2 stellar choices.

Too bad they're not in tall boy cans for $8. Miss that Narragansett Bock, and format.

That looks tight. Tough to find TH up here in Maine but I'll be in CT in a couple weeks.

Fantastic beer - I never see it around though (and I live in CT).
