    When I approached someone at the table about having leftover tickets and just wanting to get cans to take home, they said that cans were sold out, but "you can still get draft beer inside," making it sound very much like they were out even in there. And when I'd been inside less than an hour before that, the fridge was looking rather anemic. Maybe I should have gone in again to check.

    that's what I meant. draft beer. you could've used the tickets on that.

    That's the problem when you have to drive any distance to attend events like this. Pitweasel may have been able to cash in his last tickets to get a couple more beers, but with an hour long drive back home afterwards, that's not always such a great option (as I can say from repeated experience...:-).

    good point. except that instead of wasting tickets, he could've bought one of us non-drivers a free drink =D haha

    It's all about planning. You shouldn't buy more tickets than you can use.........right? They even post all over the place tickets are non-refundable. Even if you run out of tickets and want another beer towards the end of the day, they do take cash inside.
