My little brother graduates from Purdue on Friday, May 11. Chemical Engineering with honors. The day he turned in his thesis, he said he cracked a Dark Lord and drank it by himself with a huge smile on his face.

I'll be celebrating with him on the night of his graduation. I'm bringing down a 2011 BA Dark Lord and a Baller Stout and he's going to crack his Conquistador de Muere Porto. Should be a great evening.

Something bitter, then you have to get a job and can't not show up because you played beer pong until 3AM on a Tuesday.

Congrats to all the grads out there.

I got my bachelors from Penn State Harrisburg two springs ago, and we had the afterparty at the Warwick in Hummelstown....and they had tapped their last keg of Nugget Nectar the night before. It was glorious.

I will be defending my MS in July and will be celebrating or drowning my sorrows with whatever Jackie O's has on tap that evening. Then a celebration of sours once my manuscript revisions are completed.

My wife will soon graduate with her doctorate, therefore she will have totally and completely eliminated any chance I will ever make as much as her. I need to eyeball this thread for good celebratory beers! Mr. Stay at Home dad here I come!

Graduating from law school on Friday, probably will drink my last Eclipse ('11 Brandy), an English Pale Ale my dad and I brewed, and I think my wife has a surprise or two for me...

About to graduate with my Master's in Applied Molecular Biology. Going to crack a Rare, King Henry, and Hunahpu along with a few other tasty treats with a few close friends. Cheers to all the graduates!

I will be opening a deliverance once I am finished. Couldn't get myself to buy it initially because of the price, but I hear good things and I am graduating...

I drank a 5th of Jameson when I dropped out 6 years ago.

Since then though, realized that secondary education is a crock of shit designed to drain money out of the pockets of unsuspecting middle-class parents who will inevitably struggle to support their children when they move back home, because the combination of the debt of student loans and the unlikelihood of finding a job within the first 5 years after graduation, which will send them running home, and away from responsibility and the possibility of either A. Blue-Collar labor jobs, or B. Homelessness.

Congrats on graduating. You would've been better served getting a job out of high school, at least then you'd have enough work experience to be hired.

In all seriousness, to each their own, and an education can really take you far in life. In this market though, expect to eat a lot of shit before stuffing that savings account. I recommend drinking something strong, dark, and expensive.

I'll probably open a Westy 12 with my gf. If other friends are there, maybe something big like Melange 3 or BT. If I'm alone and have to finish it then I'll probably do something like Beatification. So many good beers to choose from that I'm not worried about setting anything in stone at this point.

Realistically, it will probably be a week straight of opening up awesome beers to celebrate... but just one at a time rather than 5 all in one night.

Would be cool to pick up a big stout or something on the day you start school and keep adding years of vintage to it while in school. Then on graduation, drink the vertical. Would only work if your 21+ going into school though.
