Not graduating from anything this year, but that isn't gonna stop me from drinking like I am. This will be my last summer off ever (currently a first year med student), so that has to count for something.

What a coincidence-I was thinking about my graduation beer today. When I started getting into craft beer, I only drank paler beers (especially IPAs). I mostly enjoy impy stouts and old ales now and the beer that changed things for me was Stone's 12th anny. Drinking that beer was a revelation. I picked up the last one I could find to save for a special occasion, and that special occasion was finishing grad school (back in 2009). I thought I'd never see another bottle again, but lo and behold, I stopped into a local shop and found three on the shelf! It was pricy (26 a bottle), but this beer has a special place in my heart, so I had to grab two.

That is not true if you are smart about it. If you work hard in high school, get a scholarship, and try and get some internships while you are in school I think you have a decent shot at getting hired.

If you coast into college, pick a stupid major, and don't put in enough effort while you are there then you are probably going to get what you deserve.

True, but if you went about it the smart way, you'll likely be able to be smart enough to get a well paying job, manage your finances, and start off your life on the right foot, unlike many who graduate having filled the emptiness of lost braincells with bong resin, bud light and beer pong balls.

Trust me, many leave dumber than when they arrived.

Had to wait for my grades to come in to be completely official in my mind. As far as the beer goes, it is amazing. I honestly think that this is what King Henry would turn into if you were to freeze distill it. I might try that now that I think about it...cheaper than paying $180 for a bottle of this nectar.

I am not graduated yet, but Saturday I will be 2/3rds done with my MBA. After working full time and going to school just about every Saturday now for 9 months, I can't wait for a break! I have a growler of Alpine Ugly waiting for me Saturday when I get home, I cant wait! Growlers of Alpine are amazing, thanks for a great BA on West Coast for sending to me !

There's a solution to this: work hard. There's two kinds of smart people in this world: those who are blessed to be naturally smart and those who work their asses off to be smart. I'd rather start off with debt and know I accomplished something meaningful and valuable in my life then to work the same job for the rest of my life that makes me dread waking up in the morning to go to work.

Either path will require you to drink some good beer to get you through the tough times!

Not quite graduation but got accepted into grad school while finishing the final prerequisite courses all this past week. Celebrated with a Uncle Jacobs Stout from Avery as well as picking up a Firestone Walker Parabola and a back up Uncle Jacobs as well.

Graduating next weekend. I'm certainly not going to miss engineering school.

Gonna open up a 2010 Blabaer with a few friends. More beers to follow, but that is certainly the highlight.

I think pretty much everyone has hit the nail in the head as to what kinds of beers would be nice to celebrate graduation from college with. In general, I would choose something like an Imperial Stout or anything that has tons of character and a little more alcohol than you drink on a regular basis (9% ABV and above perhaps). A nice sipping beer with your brother would give you both good bonding time for the evening!

CHEERS AND CONGRATS ON YOUR BRO'S ACHIEVEMENTS!
