Hey it's another one of those threads.

I'm heading to Moab from SLC tomorrow and I usually stop in Grand Junction to pick up some brews. I'm pretty familiar with all of the stores there so I'm good on locations. We're a little pressed for time this go around but my question is... what's available for limited releases right now? I'm particularly interested in sours.

    Any help is appreciated. Cheers!

Have not been to the store in a couple of weeks, so I'm not sure. I would check it out anyways, it's still a thousand times better than any SLS in Utah, hands down.

    Cheers!

Yeah no kidding. Last time I came back with Consecration, Sour in the Rye, Love Child #5, and some delicious Paradox brews. It was a good day.

    You're living in Colorado now?

I've seen the Paradox brews. Might have to get some of those. Yup, CO now.

    Cheers!

Why are people going to Moab in August?

October/Nov is a really nice time. Feb/Mar/Apr, maybe early May, also.

    Cheers!

When you live 3 hours away and 100 degree heat was pretty constant in SLC for awhile, August doesn't seem too bad. Plus, there's nothing better than a Johnny's IPA after sweating your ass off all day.

June thru August is a no go zone for Moab as far as I am concerned with early Sept and May being real iffy. You Lds's from SLC are nuts. Why not drive an extra couple hours and get into the high country? I'd rather be ***** by an angry bear than spend a weekend in Moab right now.

If you hit College Liquors, they had plenty of Trinity and Paradox stuff in the cooler two weeks ago when I was there. I think there were a couple of Avery sours/special releases available too...

Good question. I went there in August with visiting friends when I lived in UT about 20 years ago. We rode the Slickrock trail in what we later found out was 111F weather (luckily we were all fit university track/skiing athletes in those days). Chucked our gear in the pickup and went to town to eat/drink. When we came out a couple hours later my helmet had melted. Really. It was cheapo, but still...

I saw the Trinity's, picked up some, got some Paradox as well. All in all I got over 30 different brew's.

    Cheers!

Looks like something happening over at the Ale House this afternoon.

    Cheers!
