Siciliano's Market is by far one of the best. Also G.B Russo & Son International Grocery and Art of the Table are good.
Here is a link to the results of a search in the Places feature here on BA. http://www.beeradvocate.com/place/list/?&s_id=MI&city=grand+rapids&store=Y&sort=name&sort=rating This list has been sorted by the ranking. I have not been to Bellavinos to know if that score is valid, but Siciliano's Market gets my vote.
Horrocks in Kentwood Coppervine in Grandville Sicilianos in Grand Rapids (Walker) Kingmas Market in Grand Rapids Art of The Table in East Grand Rapids Corner Market in Spring Lake and Ferrysburg Meijer (cascade and knapp corner locations) Those are my go to stores in the area.
These are the places I usually hit up: All have incredible selection and really great customer service. Honestly, it's almost difficult to come to the area and not stumble upon great beer. Pretty much doesn't matter what direction you go, you're a short drive away from an awesome bottle shop. There are even some good ones closer to the lakeshore. Damn, why am I leaving again?
Headed to GR this weekend. Probably a long shot but does anyone know of anywhere that might still have a few bottles of KBS?
Siciliano's is great, with great people. The sleepers are Art of the Table, and Wealthy St. Market, about 1/2 mile away from each other. Oh Horrock's! Love that place. There are a lot!
Sicilano's has a one of the best selections in the area. I personally prefer GB Russo as I feel it gets less traffic so you are more likely to find harder to get beers (No Rules, Mirror Mirror, Abyss, etc.). Also I think GB Russo's prices are on par and for somethings better than Sicialano's
Just FYI if anyone is interested. Was in GR this weekend from Cleveland. Was shocked to find Xocoveza at International Beverage on Cascade. I grabbed two sixers and there were more on the shelf. This stuff was damn near impossible to find in the Cleveland area, especially in that quantity. I would've bought more since it's incredible but at $18/6pk I wanted to take home a bunch of other local Michigan only brews. Also a cool store with a ton of brews. I'd check dates but there are gems to be had in there.
