I'm looking forward to this event...not only GITM all day, but I've got high expectations for the Four Roses BA Grand Reserve. Does anyone know how much of that is on tap? Do not want to get hosed on a couple of pours. Thanks
I went last year and they had (whiskey or bourbon) barrel aged Grand Reserve and I thought it was maybe the best offering there. Trying to remember from a year ago but here were my favorite pours for that day (not counting Ghost) 1. Barrel aged Grand Reserve 2. Milton Teagle Jr Jr (Sour) 3. Imperial Reserve 4. Grand Reserve 12, 13, 14 They had some variations on some of their regular beers also like a fruited Canebrake, different dry hopped Envie, as well as a cask version of Grand Reserve. It was a great day, unfortunately I won't be attending this year.
This will be my first time there. Are there usually any bottle shares or anything outside of the event? Cheers, Nate
I'm sure there will be plenty of empty parking lots to setup in if an impromptu bottle share should occur. Also, bring a dolly or get there early & park close. Lugging cases back to my car was no fun.
Another awesome GRD. Parish seems to always be properly staffed and organized for this event. Lots of tasty beer.
More food trucks, more seating, more bathrooms.... Great beer, loved you could pre-order, it made things easier
Are you saying they needed more of that or they provided more compared to last year? I missed out this year but did go last year and am curious.
Last year they had 1 food truck, I believe they had a couple more port-a-potty (they had what 3 this year) and seating was the same.... I wouldn't mind at least another food truck to reduce the lines and a few more bathrooms as they get needed around 2pm, they had people walking around the building to piss. Seating isn't really an issue and a very small complaint because when I got food it was an issue of finding somewhere to actually sit as a lot of places were taken by people.
Yeah I definitely hear ya on that. Last year, once seats were acquired then we hovered or had people stay so seats wouldn't go to others.
