Saw a new beer in the cooler and gave it a go and this beer was a very pleasant surprise. Leans a little toward that east coast style I like so much. Anyone else enjoying this one? I didnt even buy Shorts or Black Rocks hops this week because of it, unless you count Goodnight Bodacious of course.
I tried it the first run that they canned it. Wasn't overly impressed but I'll have to give it another look. They use Michigan Mobile Canning I believe. Definitely want to check the dates on those before you buy, seen a lot of really old cans on shelves around me. What area of the state are you located? I'm about 10 minutes from Grand River Brewing. Just curious how far its being distributed .
im in Traverse City. I wasn't able to find a canning date but its new to town so I figured it was fresh. Tastes nice and clean, kinda juicy, not bitter and not overly malty.
I've had it on tap several times and when it is fresh it is very tropical. It is the only Michigan IPA I've tried that really reminds me of Tropicallia. It's worth the try I had it in cans but believe my cans were old because it was missing that tropical flavor that I loved on tap
Very good IPA. I had it some the day after it was kegged at a tap takeover a while back, it was amazing. The cans are pretty good too.
The cans I've been seeing in Hillsdale were all canned in February. On a side note where are some of you guys from that live near grand river? It would be cool to put together a beer tasting of some of the local BA's in the Jackson/Hillsdale county areas
