This is Adam of Grape & Grain, San Mateo. Since the last bottle share went so well, I decided to open up our doors every 3rd Sunday of the month (starting July 22nd) to host a bottle share from 1pm-4pm(ish). Everyone is invited and there is no admission. We (as a business) have nothing to monetarily gain from this, it is just a gesture to welcome advocates into our doors and hopefully get more beer dudes in the house so we can get even more crafty with our beers. Any details, feel free to ask, through this thread or email [email protected]

Here is a sampling of what we shared last week.
    Cantillon Fou Foune
    2009 Oude Beersel
    Beatification B5
    Framboise for a Cure B2
    Jackie O's Grand Wazoo

Please post any interest, advice, complaints, or comments so we can make this a successful bottle share and one of the best in the Bay Area!!!

Looking forward to this but have nothing to share as exciting as these rarer, non-regional beers. I can bring local, limited release stuff.

By all means. Not everything we had was terribly rare. I'll have some Midwestern shelf beer next time, in all likelihood. Maybe the new Founders Backstage if I get lucky next week...

Just curious how do you split a 12 oz Westy amongst however many people go? (note: I am going to my first bottle share this weekend). Just trying to understand how it works. :-)

We use a syringe to measure each one exactly 1 ml. Actually we had a small group last time with a lot of beers so it wasn't an issue at all. If I can make it, I'll try to bring some blended and unblended lambics like 3F Oude Gueuze/Girardin Black Label and/or De Cam Oude Lambiek.

I've also got a Maine Beer Mean Old Tom, which is a vanilla stout I've heard nice things about. Might add that in.

    ...

Really hoping I track down a Frangelic Mountain Brown, though.
