Grapefruit Scalpin how limited?

Not sure where you are in WI, but here in Madison it's all over the place. We've got 6 packs of bottles and cans in most good stores.

 

In North Eastern Pennsylvania the only place I have ever seen anything from Ballast Point was Wegman's, but never Grapefruit Sculpin.

I've always had to pick that up in NYC.

 

My favorite local bottle shop had cases of it and Habanero Sculpin stacked up to my shoulder height the last time I was in there, so it's not all that rare around here.

That's a good thing for my girlfriend, as she loves the habanero version.

I bought a bottle at Total Wine in Atlanta (Perimeter location) about a month ago.

 

Seems to be reliably available and fresh over here on Long Island the past few months - don't know if it's a trend or a fluke, but I ain't complainin'

 

Same story here in Lehigh Valley, PA

 

Sixers just appeared this month or so in Tampa, I was pretty excited to grab some.

 

Pretty easy to find bottles in the Dallas area. Still no cans though. This beer is fantastic, so it's nice being able to get it at will.

 

Grapefruit Sculpin is abundant here in California. Habenero Sculpin a little less so, and is a bit harder to find. If you are worried about it disappearing I will go buy a bunch and trade it with you, cause it doesn't appear to have any limit here.

It has been wetter here than it has in the last several years. Hell, it feels like it has rained more in the last 2 weeks than it has in the last 2 years, and that is really saying something.

 

Available in Pittsburgh, but priced at a cool $18-20 for a 6 pack, same as regular Sculpin. $14 for a 6er sounds fantastic.

Also, anyone know if this is seasonal, or year round?

 

Saw a case for sale at the South Jersey shore today, priced at $52

 

Up here in the Albany / Saratoga area of NY it's been very plentiful...Bottles and now cans...now it's been popping up for draft and growlers. I think it's a great beer and it's been my most purchased beer in the last three months or so. In fact, a sixer of grapefruit sculpin and victory at sea and I'm set and a very happy customer.

 

It's all over the place now that they hype is gone. Which is good since it's a fantastic brew. $12.99 for a 6 cans or bottles here in NJ if you shop at the good liquor stores.

 

Best misspelling ever! ISO a scalped grapefruit IPA

 

Love the misspelling too haha! Normally I would use a different term to describe how I would feel after paying $15 for a 6-pack of a single IPA but I guess being scalped would be just as accurate.

 

Had no problem finding it in Tampa.

 

I'm pretty sure that that the Native Americans would not approve of your blatant racist attempt at eliminating the heads of the grapefruit.
