Are you sure there weren't more numbers? My bottles say "SC 636 14 268". As far as I know the last three numbers are the day of the year, with 14 being the year. So mine should have been bottled September 25th, 2014. I don't know why they make it so hard to decipher instead of just putting an actual date on there.

Yeah, the first thing I did was look at the data stamp example on Ballast Point's website, then looked at my bottles again, expecting to find a 2nd line (top line being the SC6293, and the 2nd line being the actual Julian date). But there is only the one line, and no space between SC and 6293, whereas the normal Sculpin date appears to have a noticeable space between the SC and the batch number. I know it sounds like nit-picking, but I was just trying to decipher it. Also doesn't help that they use white ink for the stamp when white is the predominant color on the background of the label...

What a terrible job they did.

White printed on cream and only half-stamped.

I went through my crv box (fckng crv.) and dug out the empty bottles. This is the clearest one.

    Ridiculous, right?

Trying to see the last digits...

So it's SC629G142__; I think the second-to-last is 6, and the last I have no idea.

Just print a normal date in a high-contrast ink in a visible place! It's not that complicated.
