Specifically prices, bottle counts, and how-are-they-drinkings of the non-Flatitude years. Also curious if anyone has recently traded/traded for any and what was involved.
cant help with all of the info requested but East End supplied this a couple of weeks ago for the current release day:
I literally had just looked at that table and didn't retain any info before I posted this. I'm dumb. Thank you. Questions of how are they drinking and recent trades still stand.
I recently had a 2006, 2008a and a 2013, and all we're tasting good. I actually like the 2008a a lot. I just traded a 2013 for an Oude Tart with Sour Cherries. There is currently still 2009, 2010, 2008a and 2013 at the brewery.
'06 was drinking nicely @ the brewery (thanks to Scott who opened up two bottles for the bottle share). The 08a is nice, and if chilled down a bit the "burnt" flavor almost disappears although re-appears as it warms up. It's not harsh, it's just different. The '13 is drinking well already, and I can only assume will improve with some time on it as other vintages have in the past. I also had an '09 about 4 months ago that was one of the best non-BA barleywines I've ever had. A few people I talked to at the release said '09 wasn't their favorite, but I personally loved it. Unfortunately can't speak for trade value, haven't (and probably won't) trade any of mine.
