Hello, brand new to the boards. But hv been collecting beers for 25 years. About 10 years ago i bought a 6 pack of Gravity Pale ale made by Gravity brewing company out of philadelphia PA. Company went out of business. At the time I remember thinking this was the best beer I've ever had. Does anyone know what happened to the brewmaster? Did they move? Does anyone know anything about this company?

I was at a party in New Jersey a few years ago. I met a guy there, and as he drank my homebrewed beer he asked: “Have you ever had Gravity beer?” I replied: “yeah, Gravity Pale Ale. It was good but the company went out of business a long time ago.” The guy mentioned that he was very good friends of the Gravity Brewing founder/brewer. I did not obtain any details of where he is now. Interestingly there is a brewery in Colorado called Gravity Brewing. I guess they bought the name/label rights? http://thegravitybrewing.com/ Cheers!
Older brewery reference books list the brewmaster at Independence as William "Bill" Moore, who had previously brewed at Stoudt's. He's currently at Lancaster Brewing Co.
Thank You everyone. I have 1 bottle left, was thinking of bringing it to a beer expert and seeing if he can give me any beers he thinks are close in taste. For some reason that beer just hit me as excellent. Hope it kept its flavor after so long. I have about 300 bottles, everything from 3 stooges beer to rattlesnake beer. For 25 years I always kept 1 bottle of every 6 pack I bought and I always bought new beers. I remember when pennsylvania pilsner was the only handcrafted one around this area. The business has exploded since that time. I could also buy a case of old milwaukee, fort pitt, national bohemian,or lions head for $5 back in college.
"Hope it kept its flavor after so long." Your chances are Slim and Long, and Slim just left town! Cheers!
