Sounds like a trek that warrants a designated driver with those styles :grinning:

I've been there twice, and the only beer under 8% was the wit (too bad I'm not a fan of the style). They're gonna have an imperial stout tomorrow that was brewed 2 weeks. I'm really curious to see how that tastes.

I tried out the imperial stout today, and it was fucking good. I'm shocked they could turn it around so fast. It's 11%, oaked, and very smooth.

Didn't get a chance to make it over there. So much going on this weekend. Made it to Odells to try The Meddler. Pretty tasty and ended up buying a couple bottles. Then hit up Funkwerks. Unfortunately the two I really liked (Belgian IPA and Bastogne) weren't bottled.

A few of us were there two weeks ago and they had three beers ready: two wheats and an ipa. I will check them out again; hopefully I'll be more impressed. If not, it'll be hard to justify going over that way.

I wasn't impressed with the wit when I had it, but it was the first thing they ever brewed on their system, so that may have been the problem. I've also had the dipa, and all I really got out of it was that it was bitter as hell, but was lacking in flavor/aroma. They may not be able to get primo hops yet, so that could easily change in time as well.
