After months of deliberation, preparation and anticipation, we’re officially ready to open the doors of the Great Central Brewing Company Tasting Room. Our space is ready, our team is tested and our taps our flowing. All we need is you. Come down on Friday, August 18 from 2:00pm-9:00pm and join us for our Great Opening Beernanza. We’ll be serving up ridiculously fresh beers from our local, regional and international clients—including Begyle, Maplewood, Kinslahger and Warpigs—along with a few of our own German-style house offerings. We’ve also got a few surprises and special events lined up to recognize our big reveal, like the Big Star Taco Truck from 4:00pm-6:00pm, guest appearances, facility tours and a contest to guess how much stainless steel it takes to run a modern brewery. Beernanza? We think so. So come on down on Friday, August 18 and help us celebrate our Great Opening. Our doors are open at 2:00pm, so call off work and get your weekend started early. Let’s party. Not sure how many people are familiar with Great Central Brewing Co. but they are a brewery/contract brewery in the near west side. They contract brew Maplewood's cans, Begyle's cans and War Pigs Salmon Pants along with some others. In addition, they also have their own stuff they brew - mostly German style lagers. I've had several of them and they are pretty outstanding beers - the helles is fantastic. All their lagers are available to go from the brewery.
bumping this thread - Stopped in after doing the GI tour a few weeks back (it was the day after they first opened, didn't realize that when I was there) and really enjoyed it. Simple atmosphere and a great option to try a bunch of stuff that I had not had previously.
