Anybody had this yet? Opinions? It just showed up in Kansas City this week and hadn't heard anything about it?

Haven't seen it around in our parts yet, but based on the description online I'll be keeping my eyes open for it.

This American sour is a celebration of 21 years of brewing with Bold Character. This commemorative release opens up with bright, tart, kiwi and citrus notes before mellowing out with a hint of oak and subtle white wine-like character. Soured with lactobacillus and brettanomyces and aged for 9 months in wine barrels, 21st Anniversary is notably complex while retaining a delicate approachability.
Yes please. Also the 19th anniversary beer was spectacular so I have high hopes.

wasn't too impressed with their oak aged old ruffian last winter, may be just my taste, so don't read too much into my thoughts on this, but that 25 oz. bottle cost me 26.00.so won't try this.

It was tagged at $16.99, which was tempting. At $26 I wouldn't have bothered creating this thread.

    100% completely different animals there...

I'll definitely give this a shot when I see a bottle. I LOVED the 19th anny (completely different style though) and the 20th was decent enough.

I had it at their anniversary party. Pretty underwhelming. All their other tap room only sours they had there were much better.

I've been passing on their high dollar stuff. They get enough money from me off of their Yetis anyway.

Have more people had a chance to try this one yet? Started to pop up in town last week. Love sours but $20 is a pretty steep bottle cost.

I had it on tap and I didn't think it was all that good.

Their Anniversary beers are never more than $8.99 in GA. I don't see this one being double that.

After having it on tap at the source I was really dissapointed. Didn't find it all that fruity and bright. it was much more chalky and dry...heavier on the brett to my taste, but otherwise thin and lacking. Just one man's opinion from a highly imperfect tasting scenario. At the brewery they wanted 25 I believe. Got two avery sours instead.

As an aside I wasn't big fan of the taproom. Maybe it's the proximity to Coors field and the fact it was a game day when I visited. They seemed hurried, and overcrowded and while bartenders were professional they were not inviting.

I had it on tap last week and found it quite boring and one dimensional. The listing they give isn't anything to what this beer tastes. My local bottle shop has it for 18.99 and I will not be wasting my money.
