I was told the bottle count was roughly the same as BA Yeti, so ~ 5000 bottles.

Wow, dude. No advance warning or release party? Does Great Divide hate money? Or just its fans?

Small amounts have left the state in the past. This year more will be sent into other markets.

I don't think they are gonna have an issue selling the beer. They also don't really do release parties.

It pays to be on top of releases ;-)

Question about this release; I was looking for a date on the bottle and didn't see one. But I did see on the bottom of the label, below "Ale aged in whiskey barrels" where the two ruffians are facing each other, right in between them something that looks like an 11 to me. Is this an 11? If it is, is it the brew date then?

Typically they are aged 6-9 months in stranahans whiskey barrels. This is the 2012 release but it was def brewed in 2011

I paid 26 for mine. The label says it was aged for over 9 months in Stranahans Barrels

With the exception of the 2008 batch....I vaguely remember something to the effect of GD leaving it in the barrels for well over a year.

Would you rather have to wait in a huge line at 3am? I'd prefer this method for any release these days compared to the shitshow that all beer releases have become.
