I'm just gonna say the forefathers of today's yeti were things of legend. These younger yetis? Not so much.

I don't see Great Divide down here at my local ABC like I used to, that's just disappointing .

It was just a couple of years ago you could get Yeti at a stand alone beverage cart near Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom.
Not sure why you can't buy it at the Thirsty River Bar next to the ride though. They used to serve this beer called Kungaloosh Spice Ale there that Tampa Bay Brewing brewed exclusively for the park, but unfortunately that is gone too.

If I stop believing in Peppermint Bark Yeti, will it go away?

I have a friend i play Poker with occasionally who is in his early 80's whom i will pick up a sixer for him when i run down to Greenville, SC. This is his substitute for his high-end rye whiskeys he enjoys most often! Here is to throwin' down every day for good health!
    Cheers!

Love the beer, can't get it in CT anymore. A long time ago my wife bought me a Great Divide Yeti tee-shirt that says "I believe" with a small picture of a Yeti. I almost never wear it in public because I am sure that more than 50% of people would interpret it the wrong way if you know what I mean.

If it’s a shirt you like why do you care what others might think? They would be wrong anyhow.

    Enjoy

    Love Yeti.
Also, does anyone still see Old Ruffian around? This and the barleywine thread got me thinking about it, and I miss that beer because I haven’t seen it in AZ for years.

I haven't seen it for a loooooong time. I vaguely remember seeing BA ruffian, BA yeti, and BA isolation in a 3 pack of 12oz bottles. Next to it was a 750 of BA yeti. I went with the 750. Apparently I should have gone the other way.

Yeah, a shirt like that is sort of designed to be questioned by strangers and it takes a certain person (not me, that's for sure) to wear it. And I'd say that the percentage of people who would recognize the figure as a particular beer brand is well under 50% but I don't know "what you mean" by the "wrong way" ?

If I hear or read "I believe" first thing I think of is Ricky Nelson's hit and James Burton's guitar work. But I'm guessin' that ain't it?

I have so many mixed feelings about Great Divide. They still make several beers I absolutely adore (especially Yeti and Hibernation), but they don't seem to know what they want to be. Strategically, it's almost like they just watch what every other large'ish regional breweries are doing and copy it. Usually a few months late. Well, that and they keep cranking out so-so Yeti variants. For every good one, there are 3 that just "taste like Yeti" but cost more. I hope that whatever they're doing is working out for them financially. It sucks losing so many of my favorite beers from them and I definitely don't want to lose the rest.

I would give up every single canned variant to get my hands on a bomber of espresso oak yeti. If I knew the last batch was the end I would have bought cases.

Great Divide used to see them on shelves and now I just used their beer finder and nothing shows up. Haven't had a Yeti in years but would if was here at decent price.

    And I definitely believe.

That's actually the first one I never loved, but I do respect how unique (and potent) it was. Belgian Yeti was always my fave, although normal 'ol Oak Aged was up there, too.
Looking at their new Hoppy mixed-pack, I can't help but notice that Hercules isn't in it. People in areas that only get a few GD items (rather than the whole line-up) have reported not seeing it lately, too. I bet it gets the axe next.
