I was bored and looking through the beers of fame list tonight. I realized that I have not had quite a few of the Great Lakes beers. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the current availability of these beers: Blackout Stout Eliot Ness Dortmunder Gold Nosferatu Oktoberfest Burning River Christmas Ale Can all of these still be found on the shelf? Would it be possible to get a bottle of each in a single trade perhaps? Thanks for any help.
Nosferatu comes out around Halloween and Oktoberfest will probably be out in a month. Blackout and Christmas ale will be released in November I want to say but those do last and I still have some in my fridge. The rest are year round and can literally be found all over the place. You can try and possibly land all of these in late fall but their beers usually have a best by date of ninety days after bottling. The only one that is an oddball really is the Oktoberfest, the rest are fine with some age on them but i feel like the Oktoberfest does not have a very long shelf life.
I live 2 hours from Cleveland and they are all pretty much shelf beers as @beerhan mentioned. BA Blackout you have to go to the release for to get, but regular Blackout, though harder to find in PA, you can usually grab a 4 pack at Wegman's. Late fall would probably be ideal to land most of these.
