Has anyone seen this sold anywhere on West Coast? I know it is not specific to our region, but having a hard time locating as I'd like to try it. Any tips on getting your hands on beers not sold in your locale?
I've seen some bottles of stout for sale at Glendale Tap. Wouldn't be surprised to see some at Ramirez Liquor as well. Just make sure not to buy anything hoppy, because it will taste like cardboard.
I like that there are 2 Great Lakes places. "Brewery" is up in Canada, and "Brewing" is over in Ohio. The uniqueness of names is astounding!
Way too confusing for someone like me that gets confused by Lost Coast Brewing and Left Coast Brewing...
If you're looking for shelf stuff try online. West Lakeview Liquors should have it: http://www.wlvliquors.com/product-category/beer/domestic-beer/ohio/great-lakes-brewing-co
About 10 years ago I came across some Commodore Perry IPA and Edmund Fitzgerald Porter at a local So Cal shop. I purchased them. Neither turned out to be fresh. If you see them illegally sitting on the shelves somewhere it's in your best interest to pass those up.
