Where did you find it?

 

I will probably pick up a 4 pack but I remember last year's version being less than stellar

 

Will definitely be picking this up. Had it for the first time last year and loved it.

Since then I've tried soooo many other DIPAs that I'm very curious how I'll like it now.

 

zacky_U : got it at Holiday Market in Royal Oak yesterday. Grabbed a 4 pack off of a stack of cases 4 high

 

Sneaky stores. Check the dates! Some of my local stores had double trouble on the shelves about a month before it was released, it was left overs from the year before. Giant eagle is famous for having old beers sit on the shelf or in the back somewhere.

 

Yup, another very good seasonal beer that's come out in the early Spring every year for the past 3 or 4 years from Great Lakes. One nice thing about living in Cleveland is being able to get their beers fresh whenever I want.

Have not seen it at my local spot close to Cincy as of today. Of course I have not been out to Jungle Jims yet. I'll pick up three 4 packs for a nice solid 12 to get me started.

Went to a local "discount" beer place yesterday and saw it on the shelf. Great! Then I looked at the date - bottled July 2015. So now I wait........

 

Was super pumped as well. Found it and bought a four pack yesterday and was crazy disappointed! Nowhere near as good as last years was to me. Overly boozy and sweet. Maybe my palate has changed....who knows. Total bummer though either way.

 

Really,wow. Maybe sit on it for a minute. That certainly helps their Xmas Ale to mellow a bit.

 

The labels are new this year and they use the hand-drawn look of all their updated labels. Checking dates is always a good idea, but the labels are a quick way to identify this year's release.

 

More cases supposed to be making their way to the Chicago burbs today.

 

This stuff is just way too sweet. Reminiscent in both the taste and hype of hopslam.

 

This doesn't seem right to me . . . Are you sure your not thinking of Lake Erie Monster ?

 

Funny. That's exactly why it's one of my absolute favorite beers. Interesting how people's taste buds can be so different.

 

As tasty as ever. Finally came to my area today.

 

Been sipping on this trio since Friday.

 

Was available at Casa Di Vino in Wheeling, WV on Saturday April 8th. Best selection of craft beer in Wheeling. Picked up 2 in a custom 6 pack. Will be back for a 4 pack soon. Fantastic 2X IPA.

 

Anyone know how far ahead Great Lakes projects their best by date for Chillwave? Mine says 6/13/16, which seems a bit close since it just showed up on shelves. It is tasting pretty great regardless.

 

I'm pretty sure it's 3 months, so I'm assuming it was bottled on 3/13/16..
