Great Lakes Chillwave DIPA

This was Alchemy Hour

 

It took me a while to find it, but this is the only thing I think of when I hear or see Lake Erie Monster...

 

Was really impressed with Alchemy Hour last year, I hope it will live up to my memories.

 

Yeah, that's a stupid name alright.

 

I wonder if the good folks in CA would like to swap some Chillwave for some of those RR's.

 

It is a pretty lame name, I must agree on that point. Good thing its not the name that counts, its whats in the bottle! Didnt have a chance to try this one last year so I am excited for its release this year. Here is a little more info on the beer/name origin:

Eh, I don't mind Chillwave.

 

Now all I can think about is the mayor singing "My Portland."

Sidenote, Alchemy Hour/Chillwave was pretty solid, I thought, but I was actually kind of turned off by what I perceived to be an almost total lack of bitterness. Did anyone else get it that way, too? I'd probably buy it again sometime, but I guess I prefer my DIPAs with a cone or two in the boil.

 

For me, this was the best beer of 2013!

 

Yes. Smelled wonderful, aroma of peaches sticks out in memory. Taste was definitely lacking.

 

Im in the same boat, I didn't get the hype behind this beer....Rye of the tiger is great tho.
