Just got to try it for first time today and I love it. Awesome beer. IMO way better than hop juju and best Ohio iPa. One of the best beers I have ever had.

Oh and yes I know it's a double iPA before someone gets all technical but either way still on top of either list

I liked Allegheny Hour better. [IMG]

Seriously though I like this beer a lot. [IMG]

Yeah. The new name is embarassingly awful. But it is a dam good beer.

Lol if it were made in pa then allegheny hour would have been better than alchemy. Chillwave is kind of a weird name compared to their other beers. A

Thought it was pretty underwhelming last year. I'll give it another chance this year just to be sure.

I think it was a very good beer, not sure I'd chase it, but I would buy it again if I saw it.

Was going quick at Blacklick liquors.

The name is just awful. Was OK last year, like most of the Christmas Ale Brewing Company's stuff.

Just tried some for the first time and was very impressed. I had very high hopes based on its reputation(which usually leads to disappointment) and came away feeling like it lives up to all the praise.

In fact, I enjoyed it more than Abrasive this year, which has been arguably my favorite beer for the past few years.

It's good but better than JuJu? No way - JuJu is simply magnificent. Chill Wave has too much GL house character (yeast?) and the hops aren't nearly as juicy as JuJu, let alone other Mosaic bombs like Sosus, S&S 6, IBUsive, etc.

Going to be visiting the Youngstown area this weekend...Is Chillwave still around?

When I see it, I'm going to buy it. This is a great beer!

In defense of the name Chillwave, Alchemy Hour was a stupid name too.

I'm drinking one of these bad boys right now. I love this stuff! Cheers!

You should try Bodhi before you throw around that best in Ohio IPA thing.

It is still being bottled so it should be available.

I still think Ohio has some serious IPAs, we can hold our own against anyone in the country.

Creeper and Bodhi are brewed by who? Available in bottles in the Youngstown area?

They are brewed by Columbus Brewing Company - neither of them are bottled, unfortunately. I'm not sure what distribution is like in Youngstown, but I doubt kegs of Bodhi (let alone Creeper) make it out there, but I hope someone chimes in to prove me wrong!

There was a bunch at The Andersons in Toledo this afternoon. I was going to get a four pack but saw Maumee Bay's Amarillo Brillo and got that instead.
