Maybe check Facebook and Instagram? I typically get an email update from them once a week, but usually it comes in fairly late in the afternoon on Friday.

Yeah nothing yet since it's a couple of weeks out, but I was hoping to make plans now instead of trying to figure out something the Friday before.

Completely unrelated, but I like your avatar. I hope they re-release that beer.

Now, related to your: try messaging them on IG/FB - they might respond. If not, Kell's does a big St. Patty's day thingie in Portland, and fun and non-green beer is easy to come by.

That was a very limited special release for their 60th Anniversary. I don’t think they will ever release anything like that again. Beer was probably one of their best ever. As for the party thanks for the tips this is exactly what I was looking for. I love great beer, but I love a good party more so green beer it is!

We're well into March so Great Notion's Ballard location should be opening up in a few months, if it's going on track that is. Haven't heard any updates on that in a while.

    Double Cookie Dunk
    Imperial Stout

    New Beer

    Pineapple Pillows
    NE IPA
    6.75% abv

Pillows made of pineapple probably wouldn’t be very cuddly but they sound delicious! We added pineapple during every part of the brewing process then dry hopped with Motueka and Sabro for a soft yet assertive hop flavor. Available now at Alberta and Beaverton.

    Frenched Toast 2017
    Imperial Stout
    11% abv

Old beer, but freshly tapped at NW! This throwback collab with Horus Aged Ales is an imperial breakfast stout brewed with cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla beans that were aged on Pappy Van Winkle bourbon. Notes of brown sugar, boozy vanilla, and a hint of spice. This is the last keg of its kind, so come by for a pour before it is gone forever. Only at NW.

    COVID-19

We know Coronavirus is at the forefront of everyone's mind right now, and we want to assure our guests that we have upped our already rigorous hygiene and sanitation practices in accordance with CDC recommendations. As of now, we are operating as usual, so come by for a beer! If you do decide to self-quarantine, make sure to stock up on cans for the duration (you can always check our pub IG stories for up-to-date availability). Most importantly, use your best judgement to stay safe and healthy.

    3 Notion Fridays

    Happy Friday, everyone!
We hope you're hanging in there in these crazy times!
Here's how to stay safe, sane, and hydrated in your 3 Notions for this week...

    Stay Safe

We know there is an abundance of information out there already on how to stay safe during this time. We encourage you to stay informed and practice safe habits for your own protection and the well being of the community. The CDC and WHO have helpful up-to-date information available on their websites.

As a brewery, safety and sanitation are always a priority for us and we're taking extra precautions and measures right now.

Our taprooms are closed to dine-in services and we're using this time to make sure everything is sanitized and squeaky clean for when we can welcome you all back!

If you're coming in to pick up to go beer, remember we are not accepting cash at this time and offering extra virtual high fives to those that bring in their own pens to sign those credit card receipts!

Stay safe and wash those hands, fam!

    Stay Thirsty

Thank you all for continuing to support us during this time by buying to go beer. We know there are so many local businesses in need of your support right now and it does not go unnoticed that we have some of the most loving and loyal beer fans out there.

There is plenty of beer to go in both 16oz cans and 32 oz crowlers (special 3 for $30 right now) at all three locations and we plan to stay open for takeaway from 12-7pm everyday as long as possible. To go options and limits are posted daily to Instagram stories on @greatnotionalberta @greatnotionnw and @greatnotionbeaverton

Next week we plan to drop Luminous 06, a rainbow sherbet inspired take on the Luminous series! Along with the beer we'll be selling Luminous skateboard decks with the dope Luminous artwork from Chad Eaton (@timberps). We are also planning on releasing a fresh batch of Blueberry Muffin so it's going to be a tasty week! Plans for Saturday releases will continue to be suspended for the time being so you can come pick up these new releases any day of the week once released.

It goes without saying these are uncertain times and the above information could change. We will do our best to keep you all informed through Instagram and Facebook of any changes. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your continued patience, love, and support. We feel it.

    Stay safe, sane, and thirsty!

    Catch a Flight with Pauly

The latest episode of Catch a flight with Pauly is now available on our IGTV and YouTube. On this week’s episode we are joined by personal trainers Evan and Laura from Vive Fitness here in Portland, and they give us some tips on having balance in your life, making time to work out as self-care, and how to get rid of that beer belly! Evan and Laura show us some great exercises using little to no equipment so you can try it at home while we’re all quarantined. *DISCLAIMER: we filmed this a couple weeks ago when social distancing wasn’t what it is now and gyms were open.

Greetings all! So it looks like Blueberry Muffin is available on Tavour. I loved it when I visited the taproom last summer.

My question is: how long does this beer last and still taste good? This batch was canned on March 3rd and the earliest I would get it is middle of April. I probably also wouldn’t drink through all cans right away. So would 2-3 months on it still be fine?

I've had cans that were well past a month old, and I don't recall much difference in taste. I would assume the blueberry taste would start to fade sitting too long. I know their maple syrup beers don't age very well.

New to the area and excited to pick up GN more frequently but had a quick question for those in the know. On IG they usually note Single Batch or Double batch, does that just refer to the quantity brewed or are they doing anything different with the beer? Over Ripe recently said 7% double batch but I googled Ripe and it is also 7% so I am thinking it is probably just that they made more.
