Here are your 3 Notions for this week...





BA Beer Release

We had a most excellent release of our next two Barrel-Aged creations, Cocoanaut (our collab with Moksa Brewing) and End Of All Things (our collab with Bottle Logic), and now's your chance to try them! Our taprooms in the PDX and SEA areas will all be tapping a keg of each BA beer today at 4pm PST!

Our final BA beer drop of the season is the elusive of Bourbon Barrel Frenched Toast coming next Friday, 12/17! We'll have all the details coming next week on our social media, including info for VIP early access for Whistlepunks and Timberbeasts.





Timberbeasts, your 2021 reward and exclusive virtual event will be happening in mid-January! All the details are coming very soon.

I'm An Island Boi
(6% abv)
Brewed with passion fruit, pineapple, orange, and guava this IPA is beach vibes and board shorts, sand between your toes and the sounds of waves crashing.

Agave Crush
(6.5% abv)
This refreshing Tart Ale was fermented with wild Blue Agave from Jalisco, Mexico. "It's the Quenchiest"





Raffle

Purchase a $5 raffle ticket and be entered to win all four of our of 2021 Barrel Aged bottles: Bourbon Barrel Double Stack, Frenched Toast, End of All Things, and Cocoanaut. This raffle will benefit the non-profit One Warm Coat. We will choose two winners - one who purchases the most overall raffle tickets, and one additional winner at random! Purchase as many tickets as you like and increase your chances of winning while knowing you’re contributing to a great cause! Winners will be selected on 12/30.

Shepherd's Throne

Juice Jr.

One of our tried and true GN flagships returns! Juice Jr. is a hazy IPA brewed with oodles of Mosaic hops for a flora of subtle tropical notes.

A Yeti's Story
(11.75% abv) $25/4pack
Embark upon an adventure through the seven levels of the candy cane forest with A Yeti’s Story! We triple-dog-dare you not to love this festive double-mash imperial stout brewed with cocoa nibs and chilly peppermint.

Champurrado
(10% abv) $25/4pack
The gang’s all here and gathered around a fresh batch of Champurrado. This double mash stout inspired by the thick, warm Mexican drink of the same name has all the cocoa nibs, vanilla, cinnamon, and orange peel you need to celebrate the season. Now, who’s bringing the Churros?

The Ledgend Returns

For the first time since the last time, we’ve got another ledgendary Horus collab in our talons. The formidable power of the mighty Falcon is alive at the heart of this hazy DIPA with Citra, Galaxy, and Motueka hops and a lofty 8% abv.

Calf & Half
(12.5% abv) $37/4pack or $10/can
We’re over the mooooon for Calf & Half! This Spiked Stout is the second edition of our new series of beer, combining both barrel aged and non-barrel aged Imperial stouts in one smooth package. Calf & Half is kicked up with udderly delicious blueberry and coconut. It would behoove you to pick up a 4pack for yourself!

BA Frenched Toast

Our final Bourbon Barrel-Aged drop of the season is now complete, and what better way to ring in the holidays than with a hearty glass of Frenched Toast? Our taprooms in the PDX and SEA areas will all be tapping a keg of Bourbon Barrel Frenched Toast today at 4pm PST!

We want to extend an enormous heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our BA beer drops this season - we had an absolute blast and we can't wait to tell you what's coming next.

Calf & Half has a massive flavor that “oozes over the can”, and it drops on Friday, 12/17 alongside Bourbon Barrel Frenched Toast, and The Ledgend Returns.

As you may have already noticed, we released an update to our app earlier this week with a slew of improvements and features to make the Great Notion experience you know and love even better!

This update offers
increased speed and stability, promo code capabilities, and the ability to "share" a beer from the app to an external app, such as messages or to Facebook! We know you've been dying to tell everyone about Double Blueberry Cheesecake.

We couldn’t stop ordering Soup Du Jour, so next up on the menu is Pastry Du Jour! All the malty complexity from Lexie’s Baltic Porter joins forces with coconut and rich Ecuadorian cacao nibs in this tempting liquid treat.

Vanilla Double Stack

Lights, camera, STACK-tion! Our signature flapjack-inspired imperial stout is back with a brand-new twist. Vanilla Double Stack is an imperial stout with Coava coffee, maple syrup, and- you guessed it- Madagascar and Ugandan vanilla beans, double-mashed and ready for its close-up. You’ll flip your stack for our Vanilla Double Stack 5-panel hat ($20), also dropping with this beer!

Yeti Sno Ball Fight
(11.2% abv) $25/4pack
It’s a festive face-off between Jamie D and Harry as they dodge pink snowballs in a frozen flurry! Yeti Snowball Fight is a snack-cake inspired Imperial Stout double-mashed with coconut, marshmallow, vanilla and cacao nibs. No matter who emerges victorious, all that matters is that we had fun.

DDHHDD

Lotta letters, lotta love. This double dry-hopped hazy IPA with Citra, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, and Amarillo hops wouldn’t be here without our good friend Pete, who has been part of the Great Notion fam since the beginning. “There are good ships and wood ships, ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships, may they always be!” @peeteyfajamas, thank you for your 20 years of service in the US Coast Guard, and for your endless love for our little community of beer. Double Peaches and Cream Shake

This new addition to our shake series has us feeling peachy. Double Peaches and Cream Shake is all shook up with bushels of peaches & vanilla to make you warm and fuzzy, or maybe that’s just the sneaky 9% abv hidden behind the velvety froth.





I never eat December *********s. I always wait until January.
