Ripe was excellent very delicious. Juice box was good but I can't get over the fact that it was poured into what appeared to be an 8oz champagne flute. Food was okay had tacos, Cuban sandwich, and pork rinds. Decor needs work so much wasted space inside and outside, like the giant picnic tables inside. Hard to imagine going back seeing as I would pass Culmination Brewing each time, and I think they need their own thread.

Wait...they've downsized even more from the tulips now? Still $6 pours?

The Juice Box glass is 12oz to the brim and sold as a 10.5oz pour.

There's no way that glass holds 12oz. I have tulips growing in my yard that can hold more fluid oz. My main concern was that the opening of the glass was so small, if my nose was any bigger, I wouldn't have been able to smell the beautiful aromas as I sipped seeing how my nostrils would have been hanging on the outside of the glass.

Double stack was a maple explosion, I would have liked a bit more coffee but it was still tasty.

Based on Utappd it looks like they just have Ripe and Double Stack atm. Wonder if they will have anything else on tap when they open?

It's the same glass we all got for attending the grand opening and I tested it and it holds 1.5 cups. Which is pretty close to 12ozs.

They tweeted on Saturday that Juice Box was almost gone and Jr. would be back on mid week.

RANDOM QUESTION: Can you take crowlers on a plane? I have a Juice Box crowler that I want to take on a trip this week. Is that allowed?

My dream job is to work for the Department of Weights and Measures as their "honest pint" inspector. Or, in this case, the "honest 10.5oz".

The glass looks just like the Prairie Dino Glass. I recently confirmed that it holds 11.93 oz when filled to the brim.

I've also confirmed that Great Notion's beers taste good.

You all might be sick of hearing me complain about beer cost. Sorry, I think this is important.

I've been out in the PNW for about 5-6 years and this is honestly one of the few times I've seen a pricing model that resembles the East Coast or Midwest in Portland. It scares me, because, I think one of the most admirable aspects of our beer culture is that we drink craft beer at a price that is affordable to the every day person. It's not a luxury item. Bars like Bailey's, Belmont Station, Horse Brass consistently price their beer at fair prices when they could probably charge more. And countless breweries: Breakside, Hopworks, Ecliptic etc

I'm sorry to beat a dead horse, but these 10-12oz, 8% DIPA pours are a step firmly in the wrong direction.

Checked out Great Notion on Saturday. Visiting from CO. and was really impressed. Juice Box DIPA was damn impressive, and the food was solid. Had to wait a while for a table, but the staff was cool. Good music, good vibe... and bonus points for a Crowler machine. Cool to see the Portland beer scene always evolving.

Preach it! Even up here in the Northern Territories, this price creep has been happening. It started with a couple bars (which I get, to a point), and has now starting to infect the breweries. A brewery wants to charge $6-8 bucks for a 10oz pour, that beer better be solidly over 10%, and honestly 12% is more expected.
