This shouldn't surprise me, but it still kinda does.

What did everyone think of the the De Garde colloboration, Sometimes a Great Cow? I thought it was pretty solid, was a nice juicy base DIPA with an actual passion fruit juice like finish. Again a solid beer but I think I'd rather have Ripe, Juice Jr., or even Juice Box over it.

Awesome to see they are working with other brewers though. Can't wait until they get their new tanks in to have some of these beers regularly on tap.

I'm not that surprised or concerned about the line for those crowlers. A world class local brewery does a limited collab with hot new brewery -- what do you expect? 5-7 years ago people lined up in the early morning or middle of the night for HoTD dock sales. It's not like we are totally immune to the madness.

The day I throw in the towel is when people start following delivery trucks around with their newborn children in tow. That shit has been happening in the Midwest for the past 10 years.

As a BA from the Midwest, I can confirm this, and it's insanity. :slight_frown:

Truck chasers exist here. They're just in hibernation until Shelton decides to send us Loons. There must be a bat-signal or something that wakes them up and sends them out.

9am for a crowler of DIPA. Say it a few times quietly to yourself to let it sink in how f'n ridiculous it is.

I actually liked the collab more than the Juice Box. It had more passionfruit flavor than hop flavor, and that pleasant tartness was quite welcome addition to the palate - while no substitute for a clean hop bitterness, it at least tied the flavor elements together somewhat.

I really liked the brett addition that cut the sweetness a bit. Great stuff.

The tap room was out of juice box yesterday. Was hoping to try it. Is this a regular offering from them or a one off?

It's a regular offering. It ran out around 5:30 yesterday.

I arrived at 1045 at GN on friday. I was 102 in line so did not receive a crowler. The difference in that place in just a few short months is crazy.

when BA double stack comes around, shit is REALLY gonna get crazy!

also, did anybody notice the variance in the great cow pours at GN on saturday, and the great cow pours at degarde on sunday? almost tasted like completely different beers.

    Orange Creamsicle IPA. Do it.

These guys are really good at making beers that taste like the thing they say it tastes like.

Yep! Just had it earlier today. Vanilla cream really shines about halfway through the glass. Also, the latest batch of Ripe is great, as is Blueberry Pancake.

Had a taster of Blueberry Pancake yesterday. Very intense blueberry & maple flavors. A little too intense for me.
