Damn that's a mouth watering taplist.

I happened to randomly walk past this brewery last month. Unfortunately it was like 8am and they were closed of course. I was able to try Juice Jr at Baileys though.

Hopefully the lineup is just as stellar next week.

Is there any way to see what crowlers are for sale at the brewery? I have a friend that lives a couple blocks away that offered to grab me some crowlers.

Depends on what's on draft and how limited it is. Best to call them and ask.

Rumor has it that there's this new invention out that could possibly help you with this. I think it's called the telephone, or something like that. As I understand the technology, you punch in a 10 digit numerical code into this "telephone," where upon someone at the other end of the line (in this case, I would assume an employee at GN) will answer/respond to your "phone call." At that point, you could possible pose a hypothetical question/situation with the GN employee. Perhaps something along the lines of "hey, I have a friend in the area, and I was wondering what you would charge him if he were to come by and ask for a crowler fill."

And so ends the long storied history of asking questions on a message board. Twas a good run.

Thanks for your "help". I was wondering if there was another way since I don't want to be calling them daily waiting for something to pop up or to be thinking I'll miss out on a release. I was hoping a local might know something I don't. The tone of your response was great and not dickish at all. Sorry I littered your thread with such garbage.

BTW, my friend is a female so there is no way your scenario would work. The pronouns would get all messed up.

Thanks for the real responses @SeaAle and @boralyl, I'll send an email first and probably give them a call next week!

I doubt we've seen the last question on a message board. I'll bet there will be another question before this page runs out.

What's available in crowlers likely changes frequently. If someone replied with a specific answer, it's entirely possible the available beers could be different by the time your friend reads your email asking for beer x. Oh wait, you were just going to call her? I get it, you don't care about the "core" beers, the ones that are usually available, you want a "release" beer. Gotta catch 'em all. Score all the points. Be a special *********. You don't have to "be calling them daily", once should suffice.

    Pretty much this.

My apologies for my scathing sarcasm. I realize this thread is pretty long, but there actually is a fair amount of information pertaining to crowler prices in it. So reading over this thread would probably shed some insight into the question of crowler prices.

The special release beers come and go so quickly, and the crowler sale policy is so fluid, that it's really impossible to provide any accurate information about crowler availability or pricing. So yes, actually getting on the phone and calling the brewery is going to be your best bet...

Nope, not the case. I just know little about the brewery except that I loved Juice Box and Whole Melon, are those rare? Many breweries in my area only fill crowlers certain days of the week, monkish does releases for their IPA. I wasn't sure if things rotate constantly or what is a regular beer or what I'm getting myself in to. If they only release Juice box on certain days I would like to know so I don't send her on the wrong day. Yes, a crowler of double stack would be nice but I'm not expecting that. I thought I'd ask a simple question on a forum that was appropriate for my question. The first two responses were more than appropriate and helpful, the last one was unnecessarily rude. Jesus you guys are on the offensive.

I'm just old, grumpy, and snarky. In the time it took ask the question here, you could have shot off an email to the brewery, and get (hopefully) accurate information from them. Remember middle school? Remember how you would ask your friend, to ask his sister, to see if that cute girl liked you, before you asked her out? Remember by high school, you were just walking up to and talking to girls all by your self? Kinda the same thing here. Why use a middle man, when you can ask the source of your affections directly?

Yeah, sent an email a while back. Got a response 20 minutes ago. Just whiny and sensitive. Plus phone calls make me uncomfortable. There's a reason I'm an engineer.

I don't think the question was out of line at all. There very easily could have been a source that lists which crowlers are currently available at the brewery that he was not aware of. Also, just to point out, his question was only ever asking about which beers were available for crowler fills. I'm not sure where the pricing thing came into play.

I will echo what others have said. They change what they will fill in crowlers daily depending on what they have and how much. Sometimes they will post on Facebook, as others have said, but not always. And they actually do crowler fills of Double Stack fairly frequently ... one of their more common offerings.

I have to say, I'm a little surprised at the aggressiveness here today. A little out of character for our regional threads.

Still do this. Usually with a note asking her to check a box yes or no.
