Great Pumpkin Beer Festival

I've been going for years now, but will probably do Fresh Hop Festival in Yakima instead.

 

Anyone who finds themselves with an extra mini-snifter, I'll be glad to take it off your hands for beer or cash.

 

too bad it is during GABF this year, I have been going to the pumpkin fest for 6 years and this will be the first year I will miss it because im hitting GABF in Denver.

Come on Elysian, same weekend as GABF...weak

 

Am thinking of flying out for the big 10th anniversary Pumpkin Fest......have some friends in the Seattle area I can stay with.....am a MAJOR pumpkin beer head, and have always wanted to go to this - or the one in Cambridge MA (Cambridge Brewing has been doing a smaller version for like 6-7 years now) - there is also one in Philly at a bar which I hear is rather large and crazy.....but I love Elysian beers and I may have to pop for an airline ticket and make this October trip!

 

Some friends and I hit Yakima last year, and had a blast. Make sure you give yourself enough time to hit Bale Breakers brewery/tasting room before hand. I had a fresh hop ImpIPA, Piled Higher, there last year that was the best ImpIPA I have ever had. Better than HT, the Pliny's, everything. Go there.

 

I've been to Bale Breaker a few times already. Was actually there a couple weeks back.

And yeah, Piled High is the best fresh hop I've ever had.
