Here's a nice story. These are all very nice folks. I'll do some side by sides of Foothill's Natty to regular old Natty. http://www.greensboro.com/news/loca...cle_b6a7d562-d91e-5640-80b9-eed615704252.html
Sounds like a contract brew until natty green gets their new brewery.... this happens a lot. Nice thing to do? Possibly but I would bet this is mainly financially beneficial for both breweries at this time.
Breweries make money contract brewing other brands brews. French Broad River Brewing brews Thirsty Monk beers. Highlands brews all of Biltmore Estate branded brews, as a few examples. But yes, there is a lot of cooperation and collaboration between craft breweries.
I'm certain the financial incentives are agreeable to all parties. But these folks are friends and it is a nice arrangement. Nevertheless, as I alluded to above, the Foothills Natty Greens's will be of interest to me. Just because.....This is other than a "normal" contract brew situation.
