Angry Erik's has a really nice Belgian IPA called Fjord Crosser.

I haven't had some of the IPA's mentioned in this thread but of what I have had Head High and Gravitational Waves are
1 and 1(a) as far as NJ Single IPA's go.

I've only had a few Angry Erik beers but I'd like to try more. The quote of mine you just replied to was a year old and I've since had quite a few really good IPAs made in NJ happy to say, most of which I've now posted in other threads.

Vine Shine and IDIPA are my two favorites as far as IPA is concerned.
Unfortunately they're not the easiest to come across in South Jersey.

Shore Shiver is a malty mess.

Aside from whats been mentioned already, I really enjoyed Brix City Just Another IPA the few times i've gotten to sample it.

Edit: Don't think Spellbound IPA has been mentioned yet. Readily available and cheap. Solid IPA as well.

I'm willing to give Shore Shiver a shot again. I remember it being slightly below average the first few times I had it.

Gravitational waves, IDIPA and Vine Shine are the three that spring to mind aside from Head High.

This. I was really impressed with Pocket Trick! Haven't had very many of their beers, but it's not malty at all, and seems like a nice hybrid between a fruity NE IPA, and a bitter WC IPA. I also thought it drank more like a single IPA.

I would add Magnify's Extreme Low Vis to the list...which checks in at 7.3%

Wow, I've got to look closer that the dates on the posts. Angry Erik's is way up in Sussex County but it's worth the ride. While they do good work, their IPA's are not in the same league with Kane, Carton, and Magnify. Another one I really like is Cape May Brewing's Coastal Evacuation.

Yup, came out today. Stopped by the brewery on the way home from work to try that and Imperial Vine Shine. Both were definitely good!

While Extreme low-vis was good, G-Waves was still way better.

I remember going there in October and they had two IPA's on tap. One I did not enjoy, the other I really did.
I'll be there this weekend so hopefully that'll refresh my memory.

Hi all, I'll be in town for business on Monday and Tuesday night next week and would love to try out some of the beers listed above. I'm staying at the Hilton Short Hills, which I see is pretty close to Magnify but they aren't open those days. Was wondering if anyone knows of some places close to the Short Hills area that might get some of these beers on tap? Hoping to score some Carton cans as well if possible. I won't have a car so will just be ubering around. Thanks!

Your best bet would be to go to cloverlear, poor henrys, hops/end of elm @morristown .

It's sort of impressive that you can even have a thread about the best IPA in NJ. 5 years ago most of the IPA's named here weren't being brewed.
