That is so funny. I actually thought the sourness was quite an interesting addition. Definitely infected, but a good one at that!

    Speaking with some authority here:

I am thinking James did it on purpose...

I am probably going to line up a Train Flight with the Nitro Train, Coffee Chocolate Nitro Train, Faster Than Dawn, and make the Grand Cru be the caboose. Sound Fun?

After reading about the New Glarus Old English Porter and how Porters used to be sour, this Sour Night Train could be fun to try.

Here's the most comprehensive listing I've seen thus far. Doesn't look like Dave's BrewFarm has anything doing the night before. Too bad.

Holy kegs that's a comprehensive list! I think I'm just going to blindfold myself in downtown Madison, spin around, pick a direction, and just go.

Only 7 days until the big day...168 hours until the keg-stacked gates of Beer Heaven open in Olin-Turville Park and GTMW is revealed to the faithful!

Less than a week 'till Great Taste Eve! I'm so excited I could pee myself! :grinning:

Hey....just putting this out there. If anyone has ANY Russian River stuff that they would be willing to trade/part with for a desperate soul (me) to try, I will be making the rounds on Friday night to some of the events. I would really appreciate the chance to try some of their stuff....especially Pliny. Let me know!

I notice that Brickhouse/ Central Waters did NOT list Peruvian Morning. I really hope they figure it out someday.

It is kinda odd - I haven't heard anything back from Jennifer at The Old Fashioned regarding a FRI pouring, as I have for the past three pre-GT eves. Maybe something will pop-up???
And no worries, I will be at the Fest!!!

You'd think they would bring one of their best brews to the best beer event in the state.

However it seems Central Waters has been having some difficulty keeping their Peruvian Morning batches free from infection. This was the sidenote posted on the BA page for this brew:

"Notes: 2012 Release: Recalled due to infection...2013 Release: Recalled (at least in part) due to infection"

Yeah, so sad. A friend brought me a "present" of a four-pack of Peruvian last week, for which I roundly mocked him (he deserves it for so many other reasons). Popped two this weekend: gorgeous. I'd almost forgotten how good that beer is when it's not fouled.

Peruvian looks to be featured at their "hair of the dog" brunch at Greenbush and I opened a bottle last weekend; still drinking great for me.
