SR-71 isn't the only beer out there that's highly-sought-after.
I believe it's a half barrel which would be almost 400 5 ounce pours so it should be around for a couple hours
I'd rather drink black gold on Friday (which according to this price structure should go for $20 for a 1 ounce pour) but something tells me central waters won't pull a toppling Goliath
Where/when is Black Gold happening?
Just curious, are any FFG beers going to be available or is that list the final taplist?
Haven't decided. It's a possibility.
The keg of sr-71 will bring in 2600.00.... Thats crazy! But wait you get a cool little glass lol
How much is a pour if you don't want the glass?
I believe they take a buck off if you take the glass and say "I must break you" in a Russian accent, then smash it on your forehead.
Sure, but I don't think that was the point. Discussion is whether or not folks would pay $20 for a sample of SR-71. Odds are, yeah, because it's sought after.
Brickhouse BBQ at some point during CW's event. Don't think tap times have been given.
Surly @ Brocach:
Forgot they opened a second location on Monroe. It's the one on the square.
I understand I have friends that work at breweries and bars that hook me up over other people sometimes. Some people get mad but honestly life's about what and who you know and in that instance I was at a disadvantage besides that its just beer how upset should I really be getting if I miss out?
Dude I will totally go to that! lol glad you told me I might not have noticed it otherwise with all the other stuff going on. Hopfully there will be some Goldilocks revenge for me to try by the time I make it out to Madison.
If you guys are gonna be at new glarus on Saturday morning I have a bunch of sours I'm bringing to share otherwise if its allowed I could bring something special with me to your pre party, not that there's going to be a short supply of special beers already.
With everything going on, I don't know if I'll make it out to NG.
And no, we can't have people opening bottles at the pre-party. Cheers, and see you there!
There's always next year you will see me there I'll be the guy in the FBI hat, cheers!
Nah it's a sixtel.
660oz with zero spillage.
Mornin delight? Nah its not a sixtel
Anyone think its strange that its 6 days from the great taste and there isn't a full great taste eve lineup posted yet? I thought it was posted weeks in advance last year
SR-71 is a sixtel
I remember things being updated on the fly last year throughout GT week.
Isthmus Magazine tracked events the past couple of years, they aren't doing it this year, so there might not end up being a comprehensive list.
hasn't this already been stated a few times..............
Sigh to the absolute max
A bit off-topic, but just wanted to note that it appears the mobile app now has this year's list of beers available as well as the map of booths (so you can save 'to-dos' and see where they're located).
The physical/.pdf guide is not available on the site yet, but for those of you like me who are anxious you can begin to see what's being poured via the app.
Here ya go.

Confirmed. Andriod app is updated with new logos and such. You may have to uninstall the old one and go to the market to update (that's what I had to do)
I have the iPhone app and it updated automatically. However, my friend tried to get it and it's not currently in the App Store. So if you don't have it already you may not be able to get it until they make it live again in the store.
Anyone know if they are going to announce the lineup of "rare and limited releases?" The only one I feel I really want to try (that I have not had before) is Abrasive and I'm definitely not standing around all day with so much other great stuff going on.
It looks like they might still be doing one
I just was trying the same thing, and was able to get it by clicking on the iTunes link here http://greattaste.org/at-the-taste/apps/ on my computer, downloading it, then on my iPhone going to App Store > Updates > Purchased and downloading it from the top of the list. Hope this helps someone
NOT A DRILL
-No special release tap times or glassware pictures
Still not sure I understand why they decided not to put tap times in the app/program. I guess it's hard to keep track of for the breweries? I can't think of any other reason.
Because they wanted to do as much as possible to prevent people from lining up early and clogging up the flow of people. (I'm thinking about the NG Wild Peach release last year.)
Ask your favorite breweries on Facebook or Twitter. If not, ask your favorite MHTG member who is volunteering and getting in early to go around and ask.
I believe the glassware is similar to last year's.
Yeah that line was crazy, but is this really going to help? If the breweries are still posting them, folks will know.
I don't think it will help a ton. For the most part, the people who are going to wait in line 20 minutes for NG BBBB or 2011 Dark Lord are the same ones who are going to put the effort in to know when the releases are happening.
If it doesn't work, they'll likely make a change for next year.
I'd love to see the special releases at their own tent on the edge of things, but that probably won't happen...
TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY
I know for a fact this is not true.
TG is advertising it as such. Maybe the last keg *they* have sitting around?
