Haven't been there in a long time. What are current thoughts on this place? Will be hitting it up on the night of the Van Halen concert in May. How packed will it be on a concert night you think?

Their blackwatch oatmeal stout is awesome. Other than that, I kind of think their stuff is hit and miss. Don't think it will be too busy before the concert, before Wild games it's never too bad.

Might be packed. Events in St. Paul seem to crowd the place up good, especially Wild games. The beer is pretty good - go in thinking it'll be great you'll be disappointed, go in thinking 'meh' & you'll be delighted.

I really like how they almost always have one of their dark milds on cask. I could drink Mr. Smooth and The New Centurian on cask all day long. I've also liked most of their other beers I've tried.

I make it there about once a month. The cask milds are top tier. The new brewer made it sound like more IPA offerings will be coming to light as well. I won a free growler, and grabbed the Timma! IPA a few weeks ago, and it was as good as any IPA I have tried.

Its typically busy there before/after events, Especially after Wild games, as pints are 2.50!

Word on the street is that Tony (a server at Town Hall) will be joining the crew at GW so wish him well!

I've never been a fan of GW. The beers all seem to blend together.

The beer at Great Waters is good. It will probably be busy before the concert, it seems most of the bars in the vicinity of the Ex are before events. Get there early if you can I guess, maybe sit at the bar.
