Never heard of it. GC2 has been in that space for “ages”...

Speaking of BF. Spent the last few minutes inside talking to a guy who didn’t know BF was closed and GC2 was there instead. And BF was one of his favorite breweries. Never been or heard of other places as RiiP, Beachwood or evening GC. Go figure. Like I said the cities local breweries cater to the locals who live in or around that city. It’s a trip listening and watching others talk about beer.

I think so, maybe we can get Barley Forge in the thread title to help people out

This post is not talking nearly enough about the amazing guest taps running at GCCM. Both Cellarmaker and SARA on all week. This is a feat I've seen no bar, beer bar, or any establishment attempt in Orange County. Likely due to Evan's close ties to Bob and Highland Park's excellent model of showcasing other phenomenal breweries from across the country. Considering the roster of breweries Evan has already done collabs with I can see this guest tap list continuing to be a huge highlight for OC.

Just smashed a Simpleton IPA by SARA - it was ok. Nothing special. But this Saison Bernice on the other hand.... Wow! The only other saison I’ve had of this caliber was from Hill Farmstead.

It was nice to see some west coast offerings in cans in the cooler. If you complain. . . .a lot, they will listen :+1:

You know that SARA is primarily known for their world-class (if not world-beating) Saisons and sours, right?

In all seriousness, when I visited a few weeks back, I thought it's a solid space. Didn't care for the relatively small amount of parking, but it does encourage people to use a rideshare to and from drinking sessions, so that's not an entirely bad thing.

Any updates on the sound dampening? Looking to head over tonight but not sure I have it in me to holler the entire time.

It’s tiny inside. Well, smaller than their Orange location. Maybe if they add sound damping material to the walls inside? They did this to my local Super Mex restaurant. And it helped a lot. I like to go early in the day when there’s not much going on inside. Like between 11-noon. The lunch crowds start pouring in after 12. Have lunch and a pour or 2 and head out to my other destinations. Too bad they don’t have an outdoor patio section. Like over at Gunwhale.

I was there on Saturday around 1pm. Deafening noise and nowhere to sit unfortunately. Hopefully they take care of this sooner rather than later.

Golden milk stout with Portola coffee released today at both locations. Have to think it's going to be amazing.
