Green Flash Distributing Alpine Bottles

Is this on tap or bottles? I havent seen any bottled Alpine anymore in NYC

 

Thats great news but weird that you guys on the East Coast are getting Nelson and Duet but there is none to be found in OC ~75 miles from Alpine. Been checking with all the local beer stores and nothing yet.

 

Had Duet and Nelson on tap at Falling Rock a few months back, when they entered the state. I liked the beers, but wasn't blown away like I was hoping. Now, after getting a bomber of Duet and taking it home, and drinking it on the back porch during a thunderstorm, I thought it was delicious. I don't have any "original" Alpine to compare it to, so I'm not going to. I'll just judge it on its own.
Is it good? Did I enjoy it?
Yes, and hell yes.
Can't wait for the Pursuit 6 packs.

 

Any word on when Illinois will see shipments?

 

Florida got Alpine draft a couple months ago, and it was the worst Duet I've ever had. Old kegs, I imagine, as others have mentioned. Still waiting on bottles, and hoping for the best.

From my understanding is Alpine didn't like or didn't trust GF with Pure Hoppiness, thus, they never brewed it. Now they are coming out with the only Alpine beer in Six packs. hopefully, that's a good sign.

Liquor World in Porter Square (Cambridge, MA) received both Duet and Hoppy Birthday this week.

I had Duet, Nelson, and Hoppy Birthday when they did a soft release on draft in MA a few months ago. I thought they were good, but I have no basis for comparison. Nothing mind blowing though, I though Hoppy Birthday was the best of the three.

I'm going to try to pick up some bottles this month.

 

I see one play in the burbs has Duet and Hoppy Bday.

 

How sure of that are you? I find it hard to believe that true alpine brewed beers are sold anywhere other than at alpine given how small of an operation they are running and how fast they run out of their beers at the brewery.

Agreed. Alpine stopped selling bottled beers in San Diego years ago because of limited quantities. You had to actually drive into the city of Alpine to pick up the beers.

 

I'm guessing the price point for a sixer will come in somewhere above $15.

 

Sounds like they worked hard to get this dialed. Looking forward to drinking it.

This situation is just getting worse and worse. GF should've just given Alpine the necessary funds to expand. They knew what they were doing. GF doesn't.

 

I wonder what "key retailers" and "select markets" means, exactly.

I literally just did this on my recent trip to the San Diego area a week ago.

Went to the original Alpine brewery and bought the bottles. (no logo on the glass) - also could not find it for sale anywhere at any store even in Alpine let allown San Diego..
Went to Green Flash and bought Alpine bottles (as noted by others they have the green flash logo on the glass)
