Anyone have any information about the release of the above beer?
Brewery only, cost, bottle limits, etc.

They released it during San Diego Beer Week at the brewery during an event. $50 ticket to the event got tasters and 2 bottles with the option to buy 4 more at $10 each. I'm sure they had some leftover, but no have not heard anything about whether they will make it available for purchase.

I went to the event. We were told this will be the only time bottles will be released for purchase. They were 375ml wax dipped in red. According to the tasting room, they had it on draft for the last time last Tues the 13th. 8oz pours were 5 bucks. Even after 11 days of multiple events a day; I made it a point to hit Tues last draft and grab a few more glasses. It was that good, IMO. You may see it at future GF events but wouldnt count on more bottles out to the public. As far as bottle count, I can only guess. There was maybe 200 people and most were taking advantage of the 4 extra bottles. 1200 for the release and there had to be some held back by the brewery. I have no inside knowledge and do not work for the brewery. I wont be trading any of my 12 and should have bought more tickets for others with the stipulation the beer was mine.

    Cheers,
    Alan

I was there in August for a private tour and they were hush hush about what this was. Doh. They really took precaution to separate their sour area from the rest of the brewing. Even had a picture of James Brown with the caption "Caution: Contains Funk!" lol!
