$16.99? I just bough one yesterday while visiting San Diego for $9.99 at some random beach liquor store. I have to say for that price I should've bought more...Unless it's bad.

    $9.99? That's way below retail.

I was disappointed by this one. Maybe that's because we did a side by side with the first batch (which was still fantastic). It's not a bad beer, but you can find much better beers for that price.

    Interesting.

If they only had a case or so, maybe they just gave a price break to be nice to customers. Or maybe it was a goof.

I bought several bottles for $10.99 earlier in the week. Went back to the store for more, and it was $20.99.

I did not like it. I don't know if I would call it a Drain Pour but I would not buy another bottle.

Also not a drain pour for me. Also will not buy another bottle. But that's not particularly unusual for me.

I don't get it? To everyone that says it's a drain poor, do you enjoy regular double stout? The Silva Stout was always a big time want of mine, so I was stoked to see it in distro

I thought it would have made a decent $12 bottle of stout.

You might be hearing from people who remember when SS was a mini-whale and are disappointed that it's now more like a guppy.

Back when the first batch was released they worried they weren't going to sell out of 4-packs at the tasting room. How times have changed...

    Holy fuckin drain pour.
First one was excellent, this one is a diacytal bomb. Butter that made me gag. Maybe my bottle was different, but holy shit this was bad.
Again loved the first, this is all butter, drain poured it all. I honestly want my money back. Never asked for it, but i had precedence with the previous bottling. I honestly can't believe they bottled this.

The one I had smelled and tasted like red wine.... Awful... Complete drain pour. Emailed GF & asked for my 20$ back.. No reply whatsoever.. Stay away from this beer..

Shared a bottle a couple of weeks ago. It was OK. Not a drain pour by any means, but not much better than just OK.

Yeah, I drain poured one last night. Tasted like carbonated maple syrup, and not in a good way.

So twenty bucks "down the drain?" as Sammy would say.
