Local shop just got some in yesterday, so I cracked one open after work and was very surprised.

VERY good single IPA. Anyone else had this yet? Opinions?

It hasn't shown up here yet....are they dating this one? I love their beers, but don't really buy them anymore since they stopped putting any dates on most of the bottles and they drop off fast like any of the style.

The first cases went out a week ago. All bottles of Soul Style are currently fresh bottles

I figured the first ones that show up will be fresh and I will likely grab some when I see it....just like the mixed pack was, so I bought that. I was just wondering if they got their act together on filling in the date box on their bottles so people know what they are getting moving forward. They have been running without dates for a long time....

Ah, ok. That makes sense then. I'm not sure if they're doing it on 12oz bottles, but I've definitely seen an bottle dated Imperial within the last week. Granted, it was on the bottle below their designated dating spot, but it was still something

It was originally a draft only beer but I guess they are now bottling it.

I didnt realize this but Green Flash put Soul Style, Mosaic Session, and 30th St. in 6 packs, picked up the Soul Style for $8.99 and its tasty. Green Flash is back in my purchasing rotation!

Very good indeed. Drank it back to back with a fresh Sculpin, very similar in stature

I bought a 6 of this Saturday, very tasty. Nice to have a 6.5% option from Green Flash when I don't want the bigger 8.1% WCIPA (i'm still pissed they changed this from the 7.3% recipe)

Maybe they've stopped being a$$ holes and put their beers in 6 packs again.

Feel the same way about the new WCIPA recipe. The 7.3% version was right up there in my go-to IPAs; the new, not so much. Still a fine beer, but just doesn't come together like it used to.

    You thought wrong.
I thought it was gonna be 4 pack too, until I bought a six pack of it.

It's a fine IPA, but nothing special. I think putting "tropical" on the label threw me off because I got mostly grassy hops, reminded me of Stone IPA. Which isn't a bad thing.

I was actually really underwhelmed by it. I didn't get much tropical. Fresh cut grass maybe. I also thought it tasted kind of banana-y, almost like a Belgian tripel. I'm wondering why I tasted this, as it seems no one else did. Maybe what I was eating had an effect on it...

Interesting...my wife hates my IPA's, she tasted Soul Style and said "it has enough mango/kiwi/pineapple that I could drink this slowly" - she has tasted at least 50 different IPA's (when I convince her to at least sip) and this is the only one she said something drinkable about. Differing taste buds for certain.

I'll definitely give it another shot. I had Super IPA to start, then pork sliders slathered in BBQ sauce, then Soul Style. So it might warrant a revisit
