Sounds like some crazy folks got in pretty early this morning!

Haven't really heard how it went, big lines I'd assume.

Many people are still there going through line a second time, but looked like a fairly long time.

Helluva time today! Got in line at 9, was probably about 100th in line. Had a friend who got there at 2am  He said he "had nothing better to do." I had heard some people got in line at 11:30 last night. Nuts. Anyways, got to try some nice beers which made the 6-hour wait go by pretty fast. The whole process was quite smooth just like it was for the last Snozzberry release. Got my full allotment, went home, took a nap, just woke up. Can't wait to do it all over again in Boone on Saturday!

Both beers are phenomenal. Drank two bottles of maceo and one bootsy Saturday night. Got in line around 9am, had no issues.

    Sat night

I had both over the weekend. They were amazing, and Green man wasn't busy when I went. But it was about 9PM both nights. And I had never been to this new Green Man, it really is a beautiful spot.

Really an awkward release. They need to just sell the bottles at the front of the line instead of making you wait for bands then getting back in line

Yeah, that made absolutely no sense. It took an extra 2-3 hours out of hundreds of peoples day for absolutely no reason.

Yeah it was a total mess and logistic nightmare. They promised a lot, like panthers game while waiting in line. My group wasn't too happy about the process.

The owner and maybe it was his wife (or some woman of authority) kicked everyone out of the upstairs bar to go wait in line. Our group are all big panthers fans and were more concerned with watching the first half instead of waiting in another line. She told us we better go down because it going to be a clusterfuck, no one was lining up in order and we would miss out on bottles. She also told us they wouldn't start without us. Both were terrible lies made up for no reason. We were then heckled and called rebels by the owner and his wife. She said that she thought we were somehow going to skip in front of people, get extra bottles or somehow try and beat their system (basically questioning our integrity). Halftime came, we got out of our highback seats in front of the tv, walked down the stairs and joined our friends in line in order( we had 2 friends who left the upstairs bar out of fear of people not lining up in order. They were not allowed back upstairs once they walked downstairs and realized that wasnt the case). I would have been pretty pissed if i didnt get to see the game. Especially after they made this exact comment "Yes, we know it is a Panthers game and we will be showing it so you can watch from the line."
I had an awesome time at the release. I got to see soooo many friends and share sooo many good beers and times. However, Green Man still needs to work on their releases. If you put a system in place, stick to it and don't try to create havoc by lying and telling your customers that the system has changed/failed at the last minute. That action was wrong from both a business and personal stance. The whole situation could have been avoided if they only made their customers wait in one line instead of two.
I have been to all but 1 GM release and I know they are constantly tweeking it to make it better. I hope they get it right if they are going to continue releasing these beers. I understand that the #'d wrsitband keeps people from jumping line. They should have one continuous line with the wristband person working the back of the line when people arrive.
