So this is going to be a ticketed release?

Pass. I'll be in town to chill with the wife and no kiddies, and don't want to drag her all over waiting in line. Picking up my allocation from WW for the Golden Angel, and don't have the gall to stand in line somewhere else.

Hopefully it's low key and later in the day can get a bottle or two.

If it's anything like the Snozz release, tickets are a little earlier than 2 to hold your place in line. Bottles start at 2 with those with tickets getting first dibs. Also if it's anything like Snozz, it won't be a bottle that you 'come back later' and get, it was all sold out within a couple of hours in the case of Snozz, and would have lasted longer, but a lot of people were able to go through the line multiple times until GM put a stop to it and lowered the bottle limit to 1pp.

Cool, I wasn't thinking I'd leave (far from it) I was more hoping that I could show up early, get a ticket, go enjoy their draft beers, walk over to the "maceo sales stand" and get my bottle - is that kind of the concept? (I hope)

    Sorry if I'm being dense.

Yep. You've got it correct. They won't have Maceo or any other sour on that day though. They are notorious for not putting the sours on draft as they make such small batches of them.

So how many Fou's do you guys think it will take to land Maceo?

Ok, but I'm gonna need that plus to be a second Maceo. And you'll still be 20 bucks short on $4$ so I'll need some locals to make that up.

Not sure if sarcastic or not... How much are you paying for your Fou's these days? Maceo should be ~$20 and no, I wouldnt send two Maceo's and $20 worth of locals. You have got to be kidding me. :astonished:

60 bucks, bar price. Only place to get it though, haven't seen it retail once.
Hell last time I went to get a bottle at the bar they had sold out by the weekend and I didn't get one.

But no, I'm not serious about trading for Maceo here, just making a tongue in cheek post as I've seen people asking 1:1 for Fou and DBH for Snozz. I found some nicer NC traders on other forums.

I've seen Bootsy x 2 go for Fou. And Bootsy is MUCH better than Maceo imo. Maceo was almost too sour boarder line vingery.

Maybe, but that doesn't sound as fun as coming here occasionally.

    Well that sucks!

A buddy of mine recently traded his Fou for 2 Bootsy + some locals, both sides of the trade were very happy. Solid extras on both sides too.

I just paid around $13-$15 or so at a bar for Fou Foune. Are you saying that was cheap?

Unless you are talking about a single glass. I'm talking about buying a bottle for off premise consumption.

If you got a bottle for that price, even for on premise consumption, that's one hell of a deal and I'm jealous.

Sure bottle price. About 10 other options the same price. Granted it was at the brewery, but that's the stupidity of talking about 'bottle prices' when trying to compare beer.
