Thanks. I'll be getting in town around 10:30 probably I'll walk over to Green Man and grab a ticket if they're open/giving out tickets.

I'm not bothering with the Funkatorium until after getting Maceo. I already pre-ordered so I'm in no rush to go pick them up.

Same here. Looks like Burial is doing some sort of breakfast thing as well that morning that I plan on checking out first.

So have we come to the conclusion that this release will be the same as the last snozz release?

with the addition of wristbands, i'm hoping for a release similar to what wicked weed usually does.

So essentially you get there early and they give wrist band, or at 2 they start giving them out. I've been to so many and they all do them differently.

for what it's worth, green man recently hired a former wicked weed employee to handle their public relations stuff.

I called their office and the lady who answered told me that "You can get there early and be first in line, but I don't think they'll "sell" you a wristband until 2." I wouldn't take this as gospel as I'm not sure if she was totally confident in that answer. If someone else wants to try and call to confirm this I wouldn't be mad!! I'll probably also try again too

Why would they give out wristbands at the time of the release? That makes no sense. I think they will be giving out wristbands when they open and release the beers based on those numbers

if you're stuck waiting in line for a wristband, you can't walk up the road for golden angel. brilliant!

Unless you were able to get in on the pre-order fiasco.

It was a fiasco, but luckily I got in. So my plan is to get to Green Man around 12 and figure out what is going on over there. After, I will go pickup my allotment of Golden Angel from the Funkatorium and avoid the line over there.

It looks like you are both (unfortunately) correct. Via Facebook:

The bottles go on sale at 2 pm. You may buy a 1 bottle or 2 bottle wristband. After you get your wristband go directly to bottle pick up station and your wristband will be removed and discarded. We will only have enough wristbands for bottles! Just trying to make it as streamlined as possible. We will be releasing special beers on tap throughout the day and have live music.
So, it appears that the wristband is essentially a receipt of purchase that you take directly from one table (where you pay) to another (where you pickup the bottles).

To anyone who was at the Snozzberry release -- do you think that this system will actually do anything to help with the line-cutting problem they had last time?

Sounds like you need to have a buddy system - one to get in line for each release.

It depends. How are they going to know the combonation of 1 and 2 bottles wristbands needed such that they have enough wristbands? Will they release these wristbands at noon, or at 2pm?

Doesn't sound like his does anyone for people buying the bottles, except make it easier for Green Man to sell the bottles as there would be no need to keep a cash station where they are putting bottles out.

This might help with line cutters who were getting bottles of Snozzberry then getting back in line with their "buddies", and ending up with a second or third allocation.

I was at the Snozzberry release. If they are giving wristbands, hopefully this will be an improvement over the last release. It can't be any worse than when Snozzberry was released. They had tickets given out with numbers and the number was your spot in line. And then then number didn't matter you just needed a ticket and then get in line. And then they went back to trying to use numerical number, which only kind of happened.... It was so disorganized.

It sounds like 2pm to me based on the "go directly to bottle pick up station" bit.

    I don't follow.

Yep sounds like we'll just be standing in line until 2 pm.

Not a good move from a sales perspective. Why not allow people to walk around and buy beer after they get wristbands and then line back up around 1:45?
