Funny guy here! I meant that non-sour barrel-aged offerings by them are terrible.

Well you may be the first to be able to give us a report on the taste.

 

You must be referring to the Demon Dweller. I had it fresh and thought it was good. I just had a bottle a month ago and it was infected. I will say, while it didn't taste like it was intended, I thought the infected version was simply delicious. Maybe you drank one that was in that awkward pubescent stage.

 

Dark, black ale sour. Comes in at 9%. "Atomic tartness".

I haven't cracked one yet, but this is the label description.

 

Think they will still be around tomorrow? I'll be making a trip to Asheville either tomorrow or Sat.

Were they selling any of the other sours or just Bootsy today? I saw that they were going to do Maceo and Snozzberry again but there was no clear word on if they were all going to be released at the same time or if this was just going to be Bootsy?

 

They sold only Bootsy today and all the bottles were sold out by 8pm. They opened a few bottles for samples. This was a BIG dark tart sour beer and was really really good!

 

I'm kind of surprised they sold out so quickly. Green Man beers normally last a couple of days. I would expect to see these pop up at App Vintner and Bruisin Ales in a day or so.

 

I heard there was a decent sized line at 3:00. If the 300 btl count is true, id be surprised if any hit distro. I drove up from Charlotte last year for the Maceo release and I watched 100 people come through that afternoon. This was again a mid-week release but while the entire state was getting snowed on. Not many folks in the south drive hundreds of miles in the snow for 2 bottles of beer, but that day we did. If the 300 bottle count is true, they could have easily sold out yesterday without distro. Sadly, the secret is out on Green Man sours.

 

It's hard for me to believe that if there were really only 300 bottles that they would've ever said any was going to distro in the first place. So I don't really believe that.

 

I posted a message to facebook asking for confirmation on whether or not it has already sold out. We shall see.

 

I walked in at 6pm last night and no one was waiting for bottles.

 

They posted a picture of bottles 20 minutes ago on FB with the caption "Come get some!" So unless they're being incredibly misleading, I don't think it's sold out.

 

I don't see anything posted today on their Facebook. Yesterday at noon they made a post.
