I'm cool with that, I just want to know what I'm missing out on. I'm going to play the "Think Like a Greenbush Employee" game and try to guess what's in the box. My guess for December 1st.....Jadis. And now the waiting begins.

I planned to stop here and The Livery on Black Friday on my way through Michigan. Slightly off topic, but what do they do growlers of at Greenbush? Something like only 'Taplist - Group A' per their menu?

According to their FB page, these are now all sold out.

Wow, they just made $10,000 in 2 days....apparently I was wrong about $100 bring too much. We'll played Greenbush.

Ugh! I'm not opening mine for a few more hours, but someone just spoiled me and said it's a Jadis Winter White.

Looks like I'm 1 for 1. I'm going to guess they take it up a notch to help you get through your Monday with an Ursus.

Nope. I won't say what it is yet but it's not Ursus.
For anyone that wants to know it looks like Greenbush is announcing it on Facebook at the end of each day. They announced Jadis at about 1am

I like this. Everyone should speculate on what the beer of the day is on here, and provide their reasoning.

Anybody got one of these enjoying it? From their twitter, it seems like a lot of regular stuff and a few seasonals. Seems like a ripoff if there aren't at least a few BA things in there.

I'm even more amazed in this world of 'who gives a sh*t' attitude' and the fact that people had to be over 21 to drink it, I'm amazed someone hasn't just opened them all up and found out what is in there and posted it. I didn't think beer folks would be as adamantly beholden to the stead fast rules of an advent calendar. Didn't you guys open up all the windows and eat all the candy on like December 3'rd?

If I had gotten one, I would have done exactly this, opened them all up, posted the list (with a SPOILER alert), and drank them whenever I wanted in whichever order.

I got one and given the way it's going, so far, the last week will have to be pretty amazing for me to do it again.
The only barrel aged so far was a BA Ursus which was great but everything else has been standard stuff. This is coming from someone who has never been to their brewery until I picked up this advent calendar so I've only drank the standard distro stuff in SW MI and most of the beers are things that I've had already. As a ticker it's been a bit disappointing

Surprisingly I'm excited to wait and open each day as it comes, in fact I'm in Detroit for work & brought the box with me. My 11 yr old thinks it's cool so I do a quick video every morning of me opening the box & showing which beer it is.

Today is Unicorn Killer & I'm not excited at all about a pumpkin beer in the middle of December

I'd only had a dozen or so Greenbush beers before, so I'm enjoying my calendar. Is it 100 bucks worth of beer? Not if all of them were sold as singles at an exact fraction of their 4-/6-pack prices, no. But it's a fun thing for a casual GB drinker like me to work through, and I look forward to popping one open at dinner time each night.

That said, as someone who regularly drinks about 20 different beers but also enjoys ticking, it's probably a once-in-a-lifetime purchase for me.

So what was the final verdict on this thing? What were the last few beers and the special surprise?

I know I'd be all over it if they weren't all the way over in Sawyer.
I understand most of it is standard stuff, all of which I've had, but its a fun concept that I hope they repeat next year.

It was fun, but not worth $100.
