If anyone is contemplating going to Greenbush in the near future, go. They had a new Citra hopped IPA on tap today called Hollow Promises and it was AWESOME. I had many a beer today and that was the highlight for me. GB does great brews, and they hit this one out of the park. Go try it.

I agree, Hollow Promises was pretty good... typically their beer lacks something to me, but I enjoyed that one quite a bit. Reminded me of an imperial Gumballhead if that makes sense, especially with the wheat character.

I've been once, and now I'll go every time I head up to Michigan. Love that place.

    And that smoked brisket...damn...

I love Greenbush. They are making some incredible brews, along with some incredible food. The whole experience is fun

Is it possible for a brewery to screw up a beer with Citra Hops? It seems like they are brewing band-aids that can improve or correct any bad beer, or make an average beer amazing. They're the deep-frying of brewing if that makes sense.

Going there on Sunday on my way back from FOBAB, can't wait. I camped out at their table during the Detroit FAll Beerfest.

I think... this. You said what I could not. I enjoy Greenbush, but I don't love their beer, not even close. Being in the Mug Club is great for a Monday pick up with a few discounted okay brews, a superb sandwich for dinner, and spending time with friends that aren't craft beer fanatics like I am but enjoy the trip. For me, that's about it. Just how I feel.

My favorite Greenbush brews to date are Anger, a black ipa, and Sunspot, a hefeweizen.. both great beers. I need to stop by Greenbush over Thanksgiving weekend when I'm in the Chicago area visiting family. Yay beer !!
