Confirmed that 2017 Snozzberry was dumped.

 

2017 Bootsy comes out Sunday though.

 

Yeah, I don't know if folks are going to be standing around in line for Bootsy '17 especially when Snozz was dumped.

 

Especially when the brewer doesn't even know what's up.

Well at the time he may have been telling the truth. He was hoping for it still being active fermentation but it turned out to be something else or developed off flavors. It’s been 4.5 months since your post.

I didn’t see it go down the drain or anything, I just asked about it on site yesterday. After a long conversation and building up a decent rapport they admitted it wasn’t going to be released.

 

I was looking to try to make it over for the release but it being the night after the Halloween bar crawl here in Charlotte and the weather not looking particularly inviting, I think I'm going to be passing on this as well.

 

Does anyone think there will be much of a line for bootsy?

 

I don’t. It’s coming out with two beers that people don’t really care about (IMO).

The limits on Bootsy prob won’t be high enough for me to drive the 2 hours.

I wouldn't expect a huge line, but its hard to say being Halloween and what not. I'm hitting a show in Charlotte that evening, so I wont really care either way if there is a line or not, should be a chilly and cold day in the mountains. Perfect weather in my book!

Zero line, enforced 2pp, and $28/bottle. Pretty sure it will be around on Monday.

Love how easy it is to get great beer.

 

Bootsy made it to distribution in the past--Hopefully enough folks passed on the release event for Green Man to ship out out a few cases.

Sure is a lot more convenient for me to drive one mile down the road to Bestway than spend all day on a beer run to Asheville.

 

$28/ bottle this year, are you serious!? it was like $20 last year. Why such price gouging?

 

I believe it was $25 last year, but not 100% sure.

 

$22 last year. 27% markup to recoup those lost snozz profits I guess.

 

At least it’s a 750. I’ve seen a lot of smaller bottles lately that were priced almost that high.

 

Yeah, the 500mL member only bottles at Barrel Culture were $25. Beer can sometimes be an expensive product with all that goes into it.

 

Yea initial release last year it was $22, then when they didn't release snozz they released bootsty and maceo they must have held back for $25. Now $28 after tax. It was a little sad to see it so desolate. My only hope is that it tastes the same as last batch. We will see I guess.
