Wanted to create a thread for these guys, as they've been making some pretty great beer for a while.

Today on Instagram, they announced their first can release -

Releasing cans of Instant Credibility and Smash Street on September 9th at 5PM. $4 per can, $16 per 4-pack and $96 per case. Looking forward to it!

This is exciting. They've been under the radar for too long. Gonna be a fun weekend of Brooklyn can releases. Does anyone happen to know if they still sell any branded glassware?

Yes they do. Forget exactly but you can purchase it at the brewery.

Such a good spot to meet up with a large group of people. Solid beer and they'll reserve a table for you if you call/email ahead.

I don't think I've been there since the brewer left for Gun Hill. Has the quality kept up in his absence?

Whenever I see their beers on tap I go for them. A few of the hoppy beers I've had were up there with the best of what NY has to offer. Everything else has been solid at worst. I had a beer called SMASH but I'm not sure if it was the same as the one pictured here. It was very good. Jamaica Bay Brett and #selfie were off the charts.

When did the brewer leave for Gun Hill? Everything I've tried has been since February 2015.

Kudos to Greenpoint on their first canning, and surprised I haven't seen more chatter about them. I was back home in NYC visiting family a few weeks ago and had both Turbulence and Grey Matter on tap at As Is, and they were the biggest surprises of my visit (which, as always, included Other Half, Threes, and all of my usual bottle shops and beer bars. Also while I'm on this here soap box I'll add to the praise chorus of Hecto, but that beer being that good wasn't surprising) -- just straight Northeast-Style juice. If you'd handed those Greenpoint beers to me blind I might've thought they were brewed in Massachusetts.

Shortly before or after the name changed completely from Dirck the Norseman, sometime this year I believe.

Just a reminder these folk have cans!

Tonight was my first time visiting Greenpoint Beer and Ale, and I can't believe I didn't make it out sooner. The space is incredible and the beers are all great. Picturesque was as good as anything else I've had in the city. I can't wait to get into these cans.

DOUBLE POSTING: Instant credibility is really good. I'd put this right there with Pile of Crowns from LIC two weeks ago. The way the mosaic comes through is similar but this beer has more light fruity notes without the earthiness of PoC's nugget hops.

If you slept on Pile of Crowns initially but made it out to LIC later in the week for cans (and enjoyed it) after the rest of us checked it out, I'd say to get out to Greenpoint for some Instant Credibility. The aroma on this is incredible. I might have to revisit this spot after OH tomorrow to snag more cans. I'm very eager to taste this against PoC and Double Mosaic Dream.

Disclaimer: I acknowledge that unlike PoC, this isn't the first release of this beer and that it's already highly rated. But seriously, get on it.

I feel the exact opposite way. I love the Interboro cans much more than the OH ones from this week. No clue why I keep trying to like DMD.
