Do they make any IPAs that are not NEIPAs? If so I'd be interested if there were some suggestions.

And then freeze it in the Wintertime and skate on it.

Honestly? No. Particle (their pilsner) was good, but at $5 a can when I can get Warsteiner cans for $6 a 6 and Dinkelacker for about $10 a 6 it's pretty hard for me to justify that price.

Yeah I'm not interested then. I'll wait 2 years until the NEIPA fad passes over.

I don't usually name names, but I went into Urban Barley, the beer store on 6th off 31st because I was in a real pinch and I see the new Greenpoint-don't remember what it was called-and they ring it up for me (4 pack)...$33. $8 a single, no discount for a 4 pack. I was flabbergasted. I asked him, do people really come in and pay that? He, unsurprisingly, says yes. I said the highest I've ever seen is $24 a 4 and I won't pay that. He asks if I paid that price in Brooklyn and I said no, about 10 blocks away. I don't think I'll ever go back in. For anything.

That sucks. I saw that place open up and thought it could be a good resource but never ventured in. No way it makes sense to pay those markups.

I've bought a few things when they first opened up, I got my first Modern Times stuff there, but man the prices are staggering. I had forgot why I don't go there.

I picked up my first-ever Grimm can there. $8, plus a mandatory purchase of a six of something else to be permitted to purchase that "limited" can. Never been back in.

If people are actually paying $33+ for a 4 pack, I can't really blame him for charging those prices. :slight_frown:

WF BP raised their prices, too. They used to charge $19ish a 4 pack. They had cans of Synthesis and the DIPA that was also released (can't remember the name) at $6 a can a week or so ago.

I bought a couple cans of Synthesis and No Wave at Bread & Honey and they were $5.99+tax a can, went to WF Chelsea to buy more Synthesis @ 16.99 a 4 pack. $33+ a 4 pack is insane, but if people are paying it then....???

WF Gowanus tried to do that to me once. They had 4 packs of each of the 2 greenpoint cans released that week. The beer guy wouldnt do a mixed 4 pack of 2 cans each even though they were both the same price.

Fwiw...they were also selling Founders Harvest for almost $6 a bottle. Unreal.

Anybody have the new releases? I'm going to grab some regardless but just curious.

Stopped in last night, first time I have been since it was Dirck the Norseman.

I didn’t like the kolsch very much. The hop, I think, was too dominant in that it seemed to completely ex out any kolsch-aspects. There seemed to be some diacetyl too.

The other releases were not on draft so I tried the DIPA that was on tap and was impressed.

Why would you expect them to split a 4 pack for you? Can't do that with yogurt flavors in a pack even though they are the same price.

They split 4 pack there and price them higher individually, $5.99 i think. So a 4 pack of the same 4 cans would be almost $24 instead of the $15.99.

That's weird. Other WF stores don't even do split 4 packs. Thanks for the clarification.

WF Columbus Circle sells singles of anything behind the bar in the taproom... usually 4.99/can. Though oddly I have never ever seen greenpoint at that location....
