Bestway is a great bottle shop and is located across the street from Sticks N Stones.

There is also a World of Beer, for what it is worth.

A few other bottle shops on the north side of town if you are out that way:

    Craft City and CRU

Also, Pipe and Pint is another choice, as well. They often have some harder to find items.

beermenus.com is your friend in this town

Other restaurants with good beer selections:

    Melt
Crafted - the art of street food
Crafted - the art of the taco

Nobody has mentioned Pig Pounder yet, so... consider them mentioned.

Tonight is a "First Friday" in downtown GSO so they'll be stuff going on. Throw in the start of Independance Day weekend and it should be a good night to be around.

Gibb's is putting their Fox-in-the-Morning Saison back on tap this afternoon. Gibb's and Preyer will both be selling cans of the NC collab Don't Be Mean to People Saison, looks like 2 cans per limit. Natty's is putting a new beer on tap downtown tonight, but I can't remember what. They posted tonight's Bunker taplist earlier this week. Today is the "official" grand opening of Joymongers (they've been doing soft openings this week). Joymongers is a stone's throw from Preyer so you can easily hit those two back-to-back.

Bumping this because I'm visiting there next week. Noted what's already mentioned, anything else that's new and interesting since this was last updated?

What's been mentioned- Gibbs 100, Natty Greene's, Preyer, Joymongers, Pig Pounder- are all fairly close together. Bestway for retail and Sticks and Stones and Lindley Park Filling Station for good food and good beer on Walker Ave near UNG-G are musts. Next to Gibbs 100 is Greensboro Distilling Co and is a cool place- actually Lewis Street is altogether fun. Have fun!

Pig Pounder took gold at the 2016 World Beer Cup for their English style brown ale Boar Brown. It's definitely worth a try.

Also, if you're looking to travel a short distance, Brown Truck Brewery in High Point (about 25 minutes from Gibbs) took gold and silver at the GABF in 2016 for their #10 American lager and #4 saison respectively. The brewery overall was also awarded "Very Small Brewing Company and Very Small Brewing Company Brewer of the Year" for 2016.

Occasionally Brown Truck beers show up on tap in Greensboro - check BeerMenus (I think they were on draft at Gate City Growlers last week).

Not anymore. IIRC, the Bunker is now only open for special events or private parties.

Doesn't really surprise me, to be honest. When they first opened that taproom, they would have lots of one-offs and small batch releases you couldn't get anywhere else. Over the last season or two, The Bunker has become stagnant with what's been on tap and I (resultingly) stopped showing up. I'm gonna miss getting $9 growler fills and $6 six-packs from there on Friday nights.

To everyone; please come to downtown Greensboro over the next three days. This event is completely free! The National Folk Festival is staging its third year in town. This event is amazing and Greensboro is a perfect venue featuring every kind of act imaginable. The weather is going to be perfect, and the vibe over the last two years is still infectious. Good people and great music. This will morph into The North Carolina Folk Festival starting next year. This is a wonderful event. Join us!

Would be a great time for y'all in Florida to take a weekendish-plus trip up to the Triad.

The Folk Festival is an absolute blast and there are several good bottleshops to stock up on local beer and breweries to visit while you're in town.

If you're coming up for the festival, be sure to carve out time to swing by High Point to check out Brown Truck (2016's GABF Very Small Brewery of the Year). In Winston-Salem, Foothills is doing their Sexual Chocolate thing this weekend and Wise Man has been killing it. Great time for a Triad getaway.
