Any interest in doing this again? We did several in the past and they were a good time.

Sorry that I wasn't part of this in the past, but I'd definitely be up for something. You have to admit that compared with Asheville, Charlotte, and Raleigh/Durham that the beer scene here in Greensboro is light years behind. For me, the beer scene here is the BA's, the Untapped's, the Rate Beer craft beer drinkers in town as opposed to the bars and brewery here. I had a chance to partake in a GRAND 7 hour bottle share with 10 local craft beer folks last night and it was an amazing time. Great brews, conversations, but the best part was getting together with Outstanding people that I've only been fortunate enough to get to know through our common bond of great brews. That to me IS what Greensboro's beer scene is. (Sorry to ramble)

As a side note, as of last night late Jake's Billiards on Spring Garden had 3 tickets left for their Beer Pairing Dinner for today @ 4 o'clock. If you've never been you are definitely missing out. Cheers, Gary Maness

I'd be interested. As the redneck said, in these parts, it's about the BAs.

Agreed! The Triad beer scene is far behind others and not very cohesive, these get-togethers were something that I wanted to keep going but it just kinda faded out, would be great to get it going again with some old and new faces. Sticks N Stones was the preffered venue in the past and according to an insider  they'd be hospitable again.

So what are we talking about here? A bottle share? A gathering to drink from the tap and bottle list? Unfortunately for me, I work third shift; so as far as my participation goes it would have to be a short window between Friday 8:30ish a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Even earlier hook ups in the early evenings during the week are not conducive to me going into work @ midnight Sunday - Thursday. Cheers, Gary

@ past get-togethers it was a combination of bottle sharing and kegs (donated by a generous individual) that the host establishment would put on tap. We would support the establishment by buying food and tipping well. In the past, Sunday afternooon/evening was the time that worked best for the majority. Now, who knows?

    This sounds awesome!

What about Potent Potables in Jamestown? We've talked to Steve about hosting other large tastings and he was really open, if not excited. He was also willing to set up a food truck just for our group.

that would work also, I know Steve came to a couple of the get-togethers in the past. If it became a regular thing we could rotate venues.

I like the idea of rotating venues and early Sunday afternoons would be right up my alley. You MIGHT be able to get The Brewers Kettle and/or Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery on board as well as Big Dan's Brew Shed. Just some ideas. Prost, Gary

Sunday's work for me. Might have to work around some Panther's games, and if they start off like last year I'll need lots of beers to drown my sorrows...

I'd be down for this. I am on call at the hospital on various nights; but I'm sure I could make it out

I live in High Point and would be up for this. Have a couple friends that are members on BA (not very active anymore) but would probably be interested as well...

Sticks N Stones is on board!

My days off through August are Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday but I could take a Sunday off if needed.
Beyond August is unknown but I can make it work. This has the potential to be a really good event, but will depend on participation. I'm open to shooting for the first Sunday in September?

The 1st Sunday in September is the 1st, which is Labor Day weekend. I'll be out of town on my annual pilgrimage to the beautiful Crystal Coast of North Carolina for fishing (hoping like hell that the BBA Sexual Chocolate release is not also that weekend). What are the tentative plans (in the event that it's put off a week)? Bottle share, BS session? Jest lemme know. Cheers, Gary

I have a venue that's willing to "host" (with monday eve preferred) we just need to come up with a date. My availability is Mon-Wed evenings and I could probably swing a Sunday. Who Is good with a Monday evening?
